EP 10: Ex MAN CITY Youth Academy Director | Jim Cassell

Спорт

Was great chatting to Jim Cassell this week ex Manchester City youth academy director who has brought the likes of Shaun Wright-Phillips, Stephen Ireland, Nedum Onuoha, Daniel Sturridge, Michael Johnson, Micah Richards and of course our podcast host Joey Barton through the ranks.

Had trials with Jim in the 80s always knew he would make it as a coach. Was looking at nutrition long before Wenger made it the norm for the prem. We had Sausage Casserole every match day and went unbeaten all season for the U21s.

Brilliant watch that . As a City fan it brought back a lot of memories. We really struggled back then. Met Jim a few times. Great bloke. Thanks.

Also, the 1958 England World Cup Team were without Tommy Taylor, Duncan Edwards and Roger Byrne who sadly passed away in the Plane crash.. R.I.P
