Ep. 1 - Preparing A New Patch - Growing Giant Pumpkins 2024
In this episode I take a soil sample in the virgin ground at a new location and pumpkin patch I plan to grow Atlantic Giant Pumpkins in the 2024 season. From the soil test I add Compost to increase organic matter and Lime to adjust the pH of the soil. I till everything in and plant the winter cover crop.

Good luck this year! I am going to be documenting my season for the first time. I just posted a video recently on how I amended my soil last year if you want to check it out. I went from 1253 lbs in 2022 to 1970.5 lbs in 2023!

It is Cold Creek Compost - Agro Blend. It is poultry and vegetative based.

The agro blend compost is tested annually by the compost supplier. I use that test result to plug into the soil calculator so I know exactly what is going in.
