i’m actually so proud of ollie i feel like he doesn’t give himself enough credit, learning a language is so hard because u have to read, write, speak and understand, and considering it’s a language that isn’t like french where the words are similar to english, it’s a whole other different form and letters (not sure what it’s actually called)

@@sillydominikay its better to learn the romanised version after the symbols because everything in Korea is written with symbols. It just makes things more convenient when writing and reading too. But that's just what I think, everyone does it differently

I am korean, I agree. If I speaking second language (when I learn second language), somebody laughing, I think l‘ll be sad. But most Korean will help foreigener Korean use.

Ollie should give himself so much more credit. He’s dedicated time in his life to learn a language for two years that’s difficult to get a grasp of, and even if he isn’t fluent, the fact he’s trying and not giving up is admirable. _판토마 인정!!! 더듬거리는것도 귀엽지만 노력하고 도전하는 모습이 너무 보기좋음 😊 솔직히 한국여행와도 무조건 영어만 하려고 하고 한국어 배울 생각도 없는 사람들이 많았는데 올리 노력하는 모습보니까 넘나 기특,,👏🏻

한국 분들이 친절하게 해주시니까 올리가 자신감 얻고 많이 도전해보면서 정말 많이 늘은 것 같아서 보기 좋네요 ㅎㅎㅎ

올리는 사랑스러운 사람 ♡ 이 시리즈를 몇 번째 보는지 모르겠네요 올리 한국말이 늘어갈 때마다 함께 뿌듯+성취감이 느껴져서 이 영상이 정말 좋아요

Yeah learning languages is like that. But he wouldn't understand if people talk fast because he's having a hard time structuring the sentence that's why he can only say one word at a time when forming sentences. He's pretty awesome tho because his point can get across them even if it's not a fully structured sentence haha

I've watched Korean shows for the past 5 years i think, mainly variety shows ofc with english subs. I've never bothered to learn the language. But i can understand some basic words and sentences but I can't speak and construct full sentences. Since Korean has two types that is formal and informal construction. So basically its hard to learn Korean or just languages in general.

He doesn't get enough credit. He is doing very well considering every practice buddy he has is levels above his skills so it's intimidating, plus Korean is a difficult to learn language.

I mean that kind of font is kind of hard to read if you're not used to it, it took me a good couple of minutes to figure out what it actually said.

OK, but Ollie reciting the phrases to himself before interacting with another human is literally me every single time that I try to use my Korean... I’ve only been studying a few months so it’s still not natural for me to use it on a daily basis but I deeply relate to almost having a panic attack every time I decide to use it 😂

4:12 they were laughing at that but i felt it on a whole different level, like literally, is just so difficult to understand some korean fonts for me lmao

Well since I started watching your channel, I decided to start learning Korean as well (only found you when you collabed with Watcher). I’m already learning Japanese (also English is already my second language) but I must say Korean seems harder to me. Maybe it’s because I’m learning Japanese for much longer but watching Ollie’s journey with the language helps to cope with my struggles 😃
