We sampled the 12th generation Toyota Corolla Sedan XR. I must say, it is super equipped with safety packages as it has the Toyota Safety Sense Package which includes a Pre-Crash System, Blind Spot Monitor and Lane Keeping System.
The Corolla XR sedan has up to 126 kW of power, mated to a 6 manual transmission or to a CVT which sends power to the front wheels with a fuel consumption of 5.9l/100km, but I averaged 7.2l/100km.
Tech wise, it has all the tech you need for ease of access and stress free driving. It had features like the 7-inch infotainment screen, Keyless entry & Push Start technology and the convenience of Apple CarPlay & Android Auto.

GR Corolla and Corolla XR doesn't use same engine GR Corolla has 1.6 Turbo 3 cylinder engine an Corolla XR has 2.0 4 cylinder natural aspirated engine The reason why the opt for 1.6 3 cylinder Turbo is mainly for weight saving meaning 3 pot is lighter that 4 pot engine Meaning less weight and more power offers fun and dynamic driving which translates to "No more boring cars" from Toyota president Akio Toyoda
