whats the advantage of having two dots? is it for range to account for bullet drop?

The center dot is zeroed for 50ys and 200yds, the second dot is zeroed for 500yds. Then the bottom of the circle is zeroed for 7yds. The second dot just ads a zero for long distance.

@@JunkiAlienit’s basically a 50/200 yards zero. So at 50 yards and 200 yards, it should be the same point of aim. Although you should true your optic at 200 yards to see where exactly hitting. Then you know it’s zeroed for both 50 and 200.

@@JunkiAlienBecause bullets travel in arcs. With a 50/200 yard zero, the bullet’s trajectory is going up when it intersects with the dot at 50, and coming back down when it intersects with it again at 200.

Just got my xps 3-0 and it's awesome

Forgot to mention that the 3-1 has just a dot with no donut, which is what I actually prefer when using nods.

the xps2 are also cheaper because they are more cheaply made. Their moisture resistance rating is lower

The one that doesnt break sitting in my safe. Which ones that? Cuz ive tried 3 of em and none of those were thebroght ones. Delamination, internal mirror yeeting itself..

Also EOTECH EXPS3-1 Holographic Sight. Just a red dot! 🔴 Has NO doughnut of death, and only a MOA red dot. Which sucked to learn firsthand and return.

You didn't mention that the "E" models are 1/3 cowitness.

I have a theory bieng the seccond dot on the reticle is for subsonic rounds typically paried with night vision if you need to take a farther shot and you know the bullet with drop more early you use the lower one to make sure you hit it (i may be worng I'm a novice)

@@williamredd9555 makes sense. I was more pointing out the use of sub sonic ammo and that you’d typically zero for that and not just slap it in and guess your reticle placement. Thanks for the info.
