    Idk how accurate this is cuz I was charging third party battery and it jumped from 45% to 70% in 10 mins charging with apple laptop usbc charger which is around 60W. If this number is accurate it’s pretty fast.

    Only if you use the LP-E6N battery. If you use the LP-E6 or LP-E6NH it won't charge. And not if you use a generic battery.

    You won't be able to charge your battery at the same time , but if you use usb-c charger or power bank with 60W or more PD camera won't drain your battery or drain very slow as it will use power bank or charger. I charge now my camera with Macbook Pro 16 charger so come to check if anyone knows how long it takes to charge new battery :) And one more thing if you use good brand usb-c charger or high quality power bank which provides PD charging then it can be 60W or more it should not burn your camera. USB-C it's a smart charge 2 devices communicate so the power is delivered only as much as it need. I plan go to safari so already ordered 27000 mah 100W PD power bank so I can charge my macbook and camera instead of bringing 100 Canon batteries

    why is there tape all over your camera? To protect the finish?

  • @QippysChannel

    @QippysChannel

    3 жыл бұрын

    hehehe, yup, previous to this I used to not protect my camera and so it used to get so many dings and scratches that when the time came to upgrading my camera no one wanted to buy it and it left me with no avenue to upgrade my camera by selling my older one, so that became very expensive to carry on that way whenever I needed to upgrade, so the last time I did the tape thing on my 5d4 when the time came to upgrade to the EOS R I still managed to get a fairly decent price for it so I had less to top up to get the EOS R...and I did that too for my 1DX before upgrading to the 5d4, and that help get me a better price..btw u need to use tape that isn't too strong so it doesnt damage the camera body :) ...hope that answered your question :)

    @@QippysChannel I currently have a 5DIII about to be replaced with the R5. The finish on the 5D has rubbed off badly. I am noting the exact points on the camera that are vulnerable from use and planning to cut little custom gaffer tape stickers and protect those areas on my R5 ( if magnesium ). I did a test on the 5D and gaf tape sticks well and is surprisingly unnoticeable being mat black and having a similar texture look to the magnesium parts. The poly plastic parts never lose their look. My even older 7D is all plastic and looks perfect still. It's the only disadvantage of metal frames I think.
