I want her to perform live more often. Doesnt matter if her singing is "not perfect". But the live rendition of the instruments is so amazing to hear, that's the most important part for me.
only enya can produce an original christmas song and make it sound classic.
A rare non-lip synced performance. it's beautiful I wish she could do this more often but the way she records her music makes that nearly impossible

Hate to burst your bubble Justin.. but this is a lip sync…but with no disrespect for her …her music would be almost impossible to reproduce live.

Absolutely LIVE and better than the CD-version. Enya´s beauty in voice and appearance is unique and outstanding. It´s unbelievable how beautiful she is. Classy, confident, fine elven being. It´s a pure pleasure to look at her.
There is no doubt that angels not only walk among us, but they sing and enchant as well!
Her voice is stronger than we realize. Absolutely gorgeous!

For me...the seasons are all the same. Which means: all the same music! Anyway, I never ever get tired of this un-met angel, Enya. She's the best singer on planet Earth, and probably THE best singer in Heaven.👼
It's nice to hear Eithne's actual voice for a change. I've long been a huge fan of her style of finely-layered music, but it's near-impossible to recreate that live. She does a pretty good job here, though. These days, if you can stay in-key, not lip-sync, avoid Autotune and have a decent set of pipes, you have my attention. (See:Jennifer Lawrence).

+Archibald Mirenopteryx It is not really that impossible... Her songs are beautiful, but not complex. Any great orchestra and choir can do that. And with the right sound engineers, mixing for a DVD would be awsome.

Yay the lead vocals are live!!!! I love the fact that she does not require autotune like 90% of the artists today need to make their songs palatable.
I'm speechless.
I cant think of a single Enya song that I dont like, what a great team.
She records her voices in layers.. so she sings the song many times on the CD.. but in live performances like this, she has backup singers in the back.

The biggest trick to Enya performing live getting the vocal multi tracking correct. Her engineer Nick Ryan must have come up with something to create the multi tracking in a live setting. Her voice in multi tracked / layered over 70 times to create her signature sound. Either way its great to see her live or listen to a recording, she is simply amazing.

It is not an idiotic comment, most people do yoga to this type of music.
I think this is the only Enya's video in the youtube which is a 100% live performance. All others are either partially live or just lip-syncing.

~70 microphones (of different makes/models) in front of her, with different distance and angles i relation to her mouth... should create a kind of "multilayer"-experience. ;-)
It actually does! The performance does surprise me even though she is layering, I can hear her live singing voice. She is a wonderful musician but I guess mediocre is a harsh word even though I have used it to describe myself. I should say that her voice is average w/o all her techniques.
