Hair cut guy : I don't blame you for feeling hurt either. As a worker who is able to collect tips for services, you've done nothing wrong. This barber should lose you as a customer to teach him a lesson. Don't go back to this guy. Any of my customers that tip, I REMEMBER. I take very good care of them as well. Knowing they tip well. This barber did bad business with a good customer.

1st story that's really sad that you couldn't enjoy your birthday because she's a drunk and thinks she's a teenager. She needs to grow up and realize that she is not a teenager but a grown woman. And I'm glad you got away from her and her toxic behavior 2nd story is just crazy it's hard to find someone who can do hair right and what he did was just wrong on so many levels and you tipped way generous. But they're more barbers out there who would be happy with you and the tips you leave. 3 I'd send mom for you being her therapist for the past 7 years. The last one husband is a jerk and I think she's in on the scam. He just wants you to put the money down for his business. Run away from her block her

Barber: What? A one hundred percent tip and he ghosts your calls over a date you didn't want (which seems fairly clear)? There's no need to go back and no need to feel bad about that. I wouldn't mind if my stylist tried to set me up, but they'd better be prepared to take no for an answer (I'm married, I just don't wear the ring half the time).

The story about the mother is something I really relate to, my other half does this constantly, venting, talking about everyone and everything, the way I learned to deal with it, is the look, it's sort of an uncomfortable smile which she then realises, she's oversharing and needs to calm down, it works for the most part and we're very happy

Last story: it's most likely not him who is asking that money, but actually this so called "sister" is the one who wants money. I would guess that he doesn't even know about the matter. Maybe she have had this bright idea that op would give her money, maybe they are over and she need money or maybe she just want to take advantage of her. But what ever is the case she doesn't owe them anything. People around the world help their friends all the time and none of them ask rent afterwards, it's not what friends do.

I'm almost 27 and I haven't been able to do what I want for my birthday in years. She always makes sure that I do what she wants. Last year, I was going to go to the paintball field with a few friends, go and eat some wings with them, and come home and play GTA the rest of the day. Instead, I had to stay at home, had to cook for her, bring her food, get her a bottle of Dr. Pepper with my money, and watch what she wanted on TV. At midnight, she told me to go home and never even said happy birthday. The very next day, my ex best friend and her sister hung out with me, cooked me some spaghetti, and we got drunk and watched horror movies. The whole time, my "mother" was calling me every 3 to 5 minutes and demanding to know where I was. I turned my phone off, crashed at my friend's place, and went home around noon the next day. When I got my phone turned back on, I had 137 missed calls, 40ish voicemails, and too many text messages of her calling me ungrateful and telling me that I shouldn't have went anywhere and my birthday was over and I had a great birthday. This year, I've made sure that I'm gonna be working on my birthday. I'll be closing with my friend (who's more like my older brother) and I have no intention on being available for her to ruin the 16th birthday in a row.

And if they tried to claim it was all for the rent, ask for their social security number so you can fill out a 1099. (or the equivalent if not in the US) That kind of income needs to be reported to the tax authorities.

As far as your chosen sister wanting 10 grand I agree with a person who said that that's just utterly ridiculous you can Google how much it is to rent a room in that area which is essentially what you were doing and if you contributed to groceries and utilities that's all I would give her I understand being grateful for helping you out in a tight spot but that's not really helping you out when she's trying to take advantage of you for 10 grand and while you're at it make a spreadsheet of what you did pay her pay her that pay her what's considered average for running a room and call it even and walk away if she's not happy with that if she truly doesn't think it's reasonable then why is she allowing her husband to even force her to ask for that amount of money I agree with the person who said she's just toxic walk away
