Story1: Hold on... Sarah said she's done this to others. She's crazy enough to ruin someone's life/marriage by performing an identity theft? What I would do is put the phone on record, make her repeat what she did, and not only talk to Jane, but also consider reporting Sarah. Story 3: I think his parents are right for kicking him out. Story 5: Um... It's OP's money... Those parents probably are trying to trap the OP in their fingertip.

Story 1; Run! Talk to Jane, tell her, ask about Jane. Eventually Sarah will turn her hobby on you. Run!

Story 1 hell no dude dump her like you have to be the most pathetic person in the world to try to ruin someone else marriage all because they got a job without you like how petty do you have to be to do something like that hell no he's should definitely dump her

Last story: Yeah I'd be making a secret bank account and trying to draw as much money out of the first one as I can in the most natural looking way I can to put it in the other one

My own mother was very controlling of my finances when I was young. To the point I even had to keep secret buying a VHS tape at the Goodwill store. (Yes I'm that old) Then as an adult she legitimately hated that I grew up. And she really tried to infantilize me. When I bought my first computer, she got mad and said she didn't understand why I couldn't just come over to her house to use her computer. I ended up yelling at her that I'd have no privacy with her computer, I couldn't use it for art, and I'd have to come over just to use it. She didn't try to pull that again, but she tried many other things. Including comparing me to a six year old, talking to me like I was five, and tryingto say she could have been my date to Senior Prom. YUCK!

If that guy does break up with that girl he should probably be worried she'd do something to him.

Story 1 you need to report your girlfriend for insanity because she is insane. She needs to be in a mental institute because this behaviour will only get worse as she gets older and it will become even more devious

Red flag on red flags. This shows if you get on her bad side evem minor she will both hold a grudge and punish you in a way. She burned a friendship but also tried to ruin a life just because her friend did not warn her about this job opening. Worse she trying to hide it was her doing this plus she did this to others who "she cut contact with" no those friends probably left her instead.

Story 1: OP, listen to your instincts. Warn Jane and her husband and your family, Two, change your email, and phone number. Block Sarah on everything.

Story 1: Sarah is a complete psycho and the OP needs to run super fast and far from her. The fact that she calls this a "secret hobby" is just beyond disturbing, and even more so that she basically wants you to pick sides. If i were the OP, i would gather as much evidence as possible and present it to Jane and her husband, along with getting as far away from Sarah, along with maybe getting a new e-mail so that she can't pull that on you. Story 2: OP and the mom are definitely not jerks, but the boss sure is. I hate working for people that pull stunts like this. Story 3: OP needs to dump this guy, like yesteryear. This guy is a major scumbag, manipulator and gaslighter. No wonder the guys mom kicked him out of the house. Guy is in major need of a chill pill or something. This relationship is very poor and the OP can do way better then him. Story 4: OP needs to call off the engagement here. There is no way this guy is going to stay loyal to the OP. Stuff like this is something you just dont joke about. Story 5: The mom here is a total jerk, though im willing to bet that she probably sees herself as "helping out" the OP here by making sure they have money saved away and aren't blowing it needlessly. The OP is 20, so they absolutely need their own bank account, and maybe try another bank if one is available. The mom might mean well, but she also could flip at any time and take it for herself, since it is in her name.

For story 5: It definitely feels financially abusive. The Mom could easily retaliate against the OP opening up a bank account elsewhere by confiscating the savings account. But that would be the price OP may have to pay to get out from underneath. Of course that's if charges couldn't be filed or a lawsuit couldn't be made for the proceeds...

To the kid who's parents are controlling their finances, and anyone else in that situation, Find an online bank. I recommend Aspiration because of their decent interest rates and 0 fees. If you're worried about them confiscating your card, you can open a PO box. Then you can talk to your employer about switching your direct deposit. I'd recommend to keep paying a little into the savings account, because that's just good adulting, and then if your parents confront you on it, stand up to them. It's Your money, You're an Adult, and they don't have the right to take your money from you. Doesn't matter if they're your parents or your sovereign king, your money is yours alone.

here's one thing that desribes your fiance delusional and she thinks that you're on jane's side and thinks that her best friend's boyfriend or husband looks like he's cheating.

Sarah has some very serious issues, She felt betrayed by Jane because Jane got a gov. job and never said she applied for it to Sarah? Well they should definitely break up, she sounds like a narcissist. I suppose you could ask her to go to therapy, but she threatened to end it with him if he tells what she did in order to mitigate the harm done to her friend; and I certainly wouldn't want to be involved with someone who A. feels personally hurt / angered by actions others take that have nothing to do with her, as if she believes they have a duty to always consider and prioritise her feelings and/or opinion and B. their first instinct is to enact retribution, against her friends, and for perceived slights, non-existent crimes or those of which the perpetrator was entirely ignorant. Speak to Jane but before breaking up with Sarah I would first talk to your family and your friends (and possibly her family) and explain what you're doing and why, then make sure you record it when you do end it. Else I fear the next thing you know your phone will be blowing up with people calling you a monster, after she went crying to them about how she ended things with you because you abused her. "He was drunk, I was trying to talk to him about the wedding and he just got so angry. I tried to leave but he wouldn't let me and when I struggled he _~sob sob~_ hit me." Try to get anyone to believe she's lying after they've "seen the bruises".

I hope OP from story 1 changed his email so that way she can’t do the same thing to him that she did to her friend

Story 3: I must have misunderstood, but I thought the guy said he'd hire a prostitute if he lived alone, i.e. wasn't in a relationship? It's still weird to say and he should definitely have pushed back harder, but he hasn't actually done anything wrong so it seems perfectly salvageable with some good dialogue...

It rather hurts watching this gameplay and him not realizing the obvious invisible wall

Story 1: Somehow, "Crazy" doesn't quite describe it. In fact, the second I read/heard that she said that she does this all the time as a venting mechanism reminds me of the song, "What's So Different" by Ginuwine, where he's sayin', "If you're cheating on him, how do I know you're not gonna cheat on me?" I'm not saying not to break up with this woman. Just be prepared to be on HER hit list for doing so, because she doesn't belong in an altar. She belongs in a mental institute.

Yep, I wonder how many times OP has gotten a weird email or had a bad day and not known it was her fault. If this is her coping mechanism she hasajor control issues and has probably been manipulating him the entire time.

Story 1: I say ditch her because she literally told you that she did this to other’s before she met you and in my opinion you should not be with her and tell Jane about it, so yeah now is the time to go tell her and if she breaks up with you then you should just let Sarah go find someone else.

Sarah... is insane and needs to be put in a mental ward. The info that Jane gave to Sarah about her work life is privileged and she should have felt grateful to know at all. Knowing if someone has a job or is working on getting a job is not her business. Op needed to break this relationship off like yesterday and you owe it to Jane to not let this crazy fiancé ruin her life. You will regret staying with Sarah and letting her ruin Jane's life.

Story 4 - Its YOUR MONEY. She has NO SAY what you do with it and she should have no control over it whatsoever. Tell her to give it to you and if she won't then take her to court. You are an adult and it's your money. It'd be a subzero day in hell before I'd let Anyone dictate what I do with what's mine.

3rd story: go to court. You are 20… if the judge is not well STUPID you’ll definitely win the case absolutely

Story 3: Are you certain he's lying to you and not his friend? Is he a confrontational person, or is he the kind of person who needs to be everyone's friend, is ultra agreeable, always goes to the bar or restaurant you want, is happy to see whatever movie you want to go see? Because while it isn't super likely, he could just be going along with his friend on the hooker thing and not shutting down girls because he doesn't want to offend them. Of course he could also be "leaving the door open" just in case, which is something a lot of men tend to do, and is not a great idea as that way temptation lurks. Story 4: Before opening your own account and possibly starting a large argument, you might be able to get your savings under your control. Research high yield bonds, tax-free savings accounts, investment accounts, managed stock market funds etc. Find something better than you have now (and ideally not available at your mom's bank) then suggest that you'd like to move the money there, to save up for a car or a deposit on a house whatever. Since you're now over 18 it would be ludicrous for your mom to create the new account on your behalf and she'd have a hard time defending it if she suggested it (I doubt she'd even try) and the arguments of "it'd be quicker and less hassle" go away if it isn't her bank.

Story 3: did i miss something? where was he planning to cheat? his FRIEND was thinking of doing it but nowhere in that story did i hear anything of HIM planning to.

Story 4. Start your own accounts and have your checks auto deposited. And use a different banking institution. And see if you can remove your money.

In the first one there was nothing even minimal, the friend did absolutely nothing wrong at all, and the boyfriend should 100% call the friend and tell her what happened then immediatley afyer break up with that thing hes dating

with story 3 I winced at least 4 times.

On the story about the kid with bank account issues. When you are of legal age and if the account is under your name. You can remove mom from it and ask them to unlock it. There is also this where your mom is not really allowed due to banking rules to change stuff on your account or your family members. This is a pretty big rule btw. It should be the same in other countries. Or at least the big western world countries. Not knowing what country you live in but if it was Sweden which I doubt, you can just head to a new bank, tell them you want to be a customer there and that you have accounts in your other bank. If they have the same operations as Swedish bank they'll send a request to the other bank that will transfer all of the funds to the new account.

In story three, didnt he say if he lived alone he would bring in a girl? Isnt that the same as saying if i wasnt in a relationship i would do things single people do? Thats not plotting to cheat.

Story 1 reminds me of a story about a woman that hated her sister’s boyfriend so much for absolutely no reason that she killed her sister and tried to kill herself just to try to frame the boyfriend for all of it.

The 3rd story..i disagree with your reply to her 100%. Texting with his friend about hookers is most likely not how he really feels bc that just sounds like guy talk. Also, while reading his phone, all of his replies to the flirty girl are him saying exactly what he told you. He told her he doesn't look at her like that bc she's like a daughter to him!! So you have no reason to be accusing him of plotting to cheat!

Uhm ... as for the controlling mother ... just open an account for a different bank and start saving money there. You should've NEVER let her have access to your money.

Story 3: that really doesn’t sound like someone who’s planning to cheat. The first messages with the young girl he was, as OP said, deflected her advances to bring it to a more friendlier setting without outright turning her down and sparing her feelings. With the second one “if I was living alone” comes off more as an “if I was single quote”. This man is just doing small talk and unless there was definitive proof this isn’t really evidence that he’s planning to cheat. For the last story I don't know what country OP is in but I'm pretty sure if their mother does not hand over the money from OP's saving account they could take her to court as that money even tho is under her name as it sounds as if it was made when OP was a minor it's still in op's back account and the paychecks are the proof that all the money from both savings are from OP's working place. I'm not saying this is what OP should do as soon as possible but if the mother refuses to hand over the money even tho OP's is an adult it could be seen in some sort of stealing or something simmilar I belive And seeing as 1.
