If you just start it and ONLY have the things one your desk (book, notebook, pencil, ereaser, colored pen and marker(same colour)) you REALLY need(and also have a really clean room) then its really fun to study actually (at least for me) 🤓👌🏼 :)

I need that mental health video next. It would be great if you could discuss days you don't wanna get out of bed because of stress, depression, and anxiety and how to make yourself be productive anyway. And also if you could go more into detail about how to handle heartbreak. I also relate to not having many friends. How did you find the courage to open back up and meet new friends?

It will be a hard video to make because I want it to be so informative but ill try my best to do that very soon. I have been there and gotten so much better and would love to share that with you guys. Also like I said after toxic people were gone for my life it gave me room to put more energy into meeting new people. I usually get anxious but I started pushing myself to talk to people in class and during things like review sessions and met a few friends that way. Then those friends introduced me to other amazing people and so on. It takes time and work but opening up and being vulnerable is the best way for me personally to become close to new people.

After high school and before college I lost most of my friends because our lives were going different directions. Since starting college I have made new friends that are even better then the friends I had growing up.

I'm in my second year of uni and i have a total of 0 new friends from uni itself. I have found it easier to sort through the friends i already have though bc I'm not around them everyday so if i think our relationship is toxic i let them know/ let them go 🤷🏽‍♀️ blessing in disguise maybe?

I still hand write my notes. I have had proffers tell the class before that statistics show that you remember more if you hand write your notes verses typing on laptop or iPad.

I started taking my notes on an Ipad last semester and that was the best thing I could have done! All of my notes are now at the same place and so are my textbooks. You should really use one!

I love Apollo! When it comes to taking notes on my iPad, I either write them or I upload the powerpoint into Good Notes and write what the professor is saying. I've found that I retain just as much information as I would when writing on paper. Also, I use grid paper in the app and once we move to the next lecture I print the notes out. When writing on paper, the classic Pilot G2 in .38 is my favorite. It's so smooth and has a fine point so it makes my cursive look pretty.

it's really cool to switch up how you take notes but personally I just love writing them down and I think it actually helps me remember them better

i bought an ipad last school year and it totally changed the game! esp when profs put powerpoints online before class you don’t have to waste time writing minutia and definitions, and can concentrate on what the prof is saying. no joke my average went up 10% and it’s super convenient to have powerpoints, handwritten notes, and essays all in one place. totally recommend the ipad + apple pencil + a keyboard case. (a basic case off amazon works awesome, no need for an expensive logitech case)

If you need them for the future, I’d recommend doing them on an iPad. What I do for anatomy is I take handwritten notes and scan them onto my USB so I still had the handwritten paper notes but they’re also on my USB

I just finished microbio last semester! I wasn't doing so well emotionally, so I didn't study like I should've. It was also a lot more memorization than introductory biology courses. I got a B but I didn't retain much. I honestly wanted to keep the textbook because I wanted to learn more, but it was a rental

I have been there with my mental health getting in the way of my academics. Just be sure to learn and grow from it. Now I use school and studying as an outlet and sort of a therapy. I wish you the best this semester ❤️

i loooove Apollo & tbh at least for me it helps me learn more when i take notes - i take notes with laptop at school and then when im home i rewrite the notes to my own words (and thats when taking notes comes in) + i want more school vlog videos, i also want that note taking video you mentioned. love u lots❤️

i totally associate classes with colors. your notes are so organized. for me personal i need to use several different color pens in my notes bc when i review i need them to be more distinct

handwritten notes can be done on a tablet using the OneNotes app (for none iPad tablets) or Goodnotes or OneNote on an iPad

Hi!! Thanks for posting this video, it’s really helpful! I’m actually starting msu in the fall and was wondering, how do notes work in college? Sorry if this is a weird question lol, but do they just talk and you have to remember what they say and keep up while you’re writing? Or do they write it on a board or something? I know it’s probably different for each prof but I’m nervous to get behind and miss a lot of notes because I’m a slow writer, thank you!!

also I personally have a surface and do a ton of electronic notes and I prefer it because I’m able to fit a ton on one page versus a notebook and it’s good for the environment, however I still do paper notes as another form of rewriting notes!

I would definitely recommend an iPad! I got mine last month and I take notes a lot faster and I feel more motivated when using an iPad

i usually like writing out my notes too but switching to an Ipad was the best decision i ever made!! its easier to make pretty notes and less time consuming

I saved up for over a year to get an iPad. It has revolutionised the way i study, I work so much harder and am willing to go the extra mile, as I don’t have to dig out my laptop to google something, lug a textbook around or get frustrated when I make a mistake. It’s the best purchase I’ve made with my savings tbh

I love taking notes on my iPad! I handwrite them on there with the Notability app but I can also upload powerpoint and papers onto that app and mark them up

yeah you should DEFINITELY take your notes on an ipad! i think it would be so much better because you could write them from your iPad, and then just carry it around everywhere! it should really lighten your school load as well, and there are apps that allow you to look at your textbook/lecture and take notes all on the same screen! plus, because iPads are becoming more of a "trend" among the college student crowd, i think that you would gain some subscribers from it. it's also super satisfying! that's just what i think haha

I associate colours with subjects too....my biology notebook is green and just like you it is my favourite subject but Chemistry is a very close second. I also take environmental science and Physics. Btw i live in jamaica so, "hey girl"...

I like using paper and my IPad. Luckily I’m very fortunate to have a school that lets us have iPads that are payed for by the school. But I’m more of a paper and pencil person because it’s more satisfying and helps me remember lectures. Ps- I love Apollo

I highly recommend an iPad!! It’s a game changer. I use the Apple Pencil to hand write on the notability or goodnotes 5 apps. KZreadr Janice Studies has a great series on digital note taking :)

Also, to answer your question about the iPad- I think you should take notes however you learn better. Maybe try the iPad and compare it to how you feel doing them on paper. I'll watch your notes videos no matter what (:
