Tha's because the lore took 8 years to develop as it was mostly afterthought. R6 is in a much better position now, maybe in future they create a new Single Player R6 game based on Siege characters.

First round on Nighthaven Labs, I Fuzed a softwall and my teammate walked in the room and died. Second round, I was Capitão and I was holding an angle. I saw someone so I sprayed into the room and the SAME teammate walked in front of me.

Harry's "Now, if you don't mind, I happen to find you exceedingly fucking boring" is one the coolest lines I've heard in a while. His presence throughout the lore may have been kind of quiet, but he exited it with a bang.

Honestly doubt any of the old team rainbow vets would have allowed nighthaven to join team rainbow if they were the ones in charge. Though I don't think they'd protest Sam Fisher joining the team. But yeah Henry was the psychologist not anyone who looked like you'd have running and organization of CTUs

​@@shadewolf0075 Having a psychologist on board is definitely an asset to the hiring process but you need other outlooks aswell. Like adding Zero, ash and maybe Mira to work all angles for each new operator. Sam for the special forces part, mira for tech side of things and ash to help see if they're a good fit for the rest of the team to avoid a Kali situation again.

What happens if Deimos isn't just Ex Rainbow but Ex Ghost? He could be one of the Ghosts he sounds like he has the smooth talking but tint of gaslighting and manipulating abilities that a team of that would need when "peacefully" gaining intel

Same. I stopped when Flores was released and now I got back into it with Brava. I was so confused what tf was going on with the lore until I saw this video and now my whole reality of rainbow has changed. I don't hate Nighthaven or Kali(well, I still dislike Kali a little bit 😂) and now Ik what kind of shxt is going down. It's crazy how the lore of siege went from Operation Patriot then Article 5 to now. I'm pretty certain Deimos is someone we may have already seen or heard of before and I am excited for what they have in the future for the lore.

I hope this eventually leads to a possible rework of t-hunt or more lore related gamemodes and situations such as article 5

I can almost guarantee they won’t. The lore has simply only been used for new ops and events. The only lore related game mode is article 5 and maybe those operator training thunts and I don’t even think either of those are in the game anymore

OG rb6 was a book.

The code name of the Swedish operator is Fenrir wich is a wolf in Nordic mythology, So if he has connections with Deimos with looks lika a wolf from Ghost recon, then the code name fits perfect.

i don’t know why or how it correlates, but deimos knows fenrir. there is lines in game that you can test if he tracks fenrir

Wild theory here but what if the new operator is Nomad from Ghost Recon? Deimos looks to be apart of the Wolves from Breakpoint, and if this is the case Nomad would have a better understanding of how they operate and possibly how to take them down, that's just my theory

dude, thats actually a good idea... I completely forgot that the game even existed. It's already confirmed that Ghost Recon and Siege happen at similar points in the same universe, and the appearance of Deimos does look like he belongs to the Wolves... I'm not sure if Nomad would be an operator though... in the roadmap for year 8, the new ops are from Sweden, Korea and Portugal. According to google, Nomad is from Boston, MA? No idea though... Still I love that first part!

Abilities used to be simple and realistic. Hard breach with thermite, break walls with a sledge hammer, put up metal barriers. Now you have robot bees and a roomba of pure destruction

Ive noticed that too over the years. It’s definitely disappointing as an og fan to see the game devolve from more realistic to a ridiculous mash of goofy characters. Although it has killed the atmosphere of the game I personally believe that it has enhanced gameplay. Sometimes though I wish I could go back to the old siege when things were not overdone with gadgets.

In ghost recon breakpoint the character Walker betrays the ghosts and leads the team of "wolves" I think Deimos could be Walker because Deimos looks like one of the wolves a bit and he even uses the same revolver that Walker does in breakpoint, additionally, he even sounds similar, if not the same, also, he is mentioned to be ex-rainbow and in breakpoint, the wolves team that Walker leads consists of ex-special forces members who went rogue, I don't know but it sounds VERY similar

Maybe Deimos could be Logan Keller from Vegas 1 or Bishop from Vegas 2. Deimos did say that Rainbow Six used to be feared and that Harry disgraced the former operator's unit by turning it into the ice capades. I think Rainbow would have probably been at it's peak around their time. They were feared and terrorist attacks were at such an all time low that R6 had to disband. The informant at the end could be either Logan or Bishop trying to stop the other. Or maybe I just want it to be them because I think it would be awesome to see the story bring back characters from the previous generation lol!

Isn't it weird that a defese operator has a codename Jäger (german for hunter)? The name would suggest he should be on offense or at least have a hunter-like ability like Frost has... I don't think there is any other operator who would have such a contradictory codename.

Ok so. I've started reading the book by TC and in the beginnings Rainbow is started by a guy called John Clark who was an ex Seal. He was on a flight with his Son in Law, and another special ops guy when the plane was hijacked and the three of them took out the hijackers. John Clark then pushed for the formation of Rainbow and they were formed as a multinational unit of 2 teams, one lead by him, the other by his son in law Domingo (Ding), based out at Hereford. The first operation was a bank robbery in Switzerland with Ding's team being the ones going in. I wonder, could it be John Clark that is Deimos?? He was there from the start... but.. the game's lore just seems different.

Such a nice video. I was a casual free-weekend player in the old days of Siege (and a former fan of the franchise with Raven Shiled & Vegas) so I was stuck with the White Mask thing. And I recently bought the game since I have a better PC nowadays for the 60 GB base game... and there is so much new stuff... And just when I began to empathized with Harry sharing the same ideology I get that surprise! hahaha. I like the squad things too!

What if Deimos is the main character from the cancelled Rainbow Six: Patriots game? While I know that's not likely, it would be a bit of a meta way to still say the events of the game happened, he's basically hijacking the siege game to be his own

Been playing this game from Operation Ember Rise (Amaru and Goyo season), but never actually caught up with lore. Amazing video only 30 mins thats actually worth 8 full R6 years.

I thought Operation Chimera was canon. Just that the extraction timeline is one where the virus returns and the original siege timeline has successfully contained the virus.

Spoilers ahead of this!!!!! DONT READ IF YOU WANT TO FOLLOW MAINSTREAM LORE!!! Ash will live, she is alive and well. It is well known that Ghost Recon and Rainbow Six share the same timeline, and that Breakpoint also shares that timeline. In a DLC that takes place in 2025, Rainbow sends three operators to help Nomad combat the possible sale of a dangerous new gas on Aurora. Rainbow sends three ops, Thatcher, Finka, and Ash. If you've ever read a rainbow fandom, you'll see that it says Finka comes back in 2025, it is because of Breakpoint. A long with that, Ash is also proven to be alive, due to her being an active companion in the DLC. So yeah, she lives
