This is only speculation on my part as an audio engineer, but they’re on in-ear monitors, which means the drums are mic’d up (except the kick which is triggered) and the guitar and bass are going through modelers of some sort (Kemper, Line 6 Helix, NeuralDSP Quad Cortex, or something similar) which means they’re not using any amps in the room which would bleed into the drum mics. Then the vocalists are right up on their microphones and not facing the capsules directly at the drum kit, so they’re probably rejecting a good amount of the drums even in that small room. Long story short: they have really nice gear, in-ear monitors, and they play their instruments amazingly.

I agree. Ever since Dan left EE, It just hasn't been the same. The rest of the band has always been revolving, but Dan was always the frontman. Also, I could not get into the most recent album. The Chosen was the last good album imo.
