We gratefully and humbly celebrate the beginning of our 40th year here at Southern Oaks Church. God has blessed, protected, and kept us here, one body, one pastor, one faith, one purpose ... to worship and glorify God.
In the Bible, 40 speaks to a time of trial or preparation after which many people's lives are affected and blessed.
May this be the year that all of our prayers, sweat, blood, and tears will manifest the glory of God such that people will come running, as in Acts 2:12, asking, “What does this mean?” And that we, like Peter, may have the great privilege of answering, "This is what was spoken by the prophet Joel: “And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God, that I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh … and it shall come to pass that whoever calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved.”
