This is just a short visit I had to Medina on Friday, June 4, 2021. I ran into the foreman of the old Carpenter Ranch, and he invited me to drive up to the old house and look at the landscaping. He said the new lake will be 50 feet deep ... a far cry from the little dirt-dam pond I swam in as a child in the 1940s.
This is the Homestead of Hugh Logan and Callie Carpenter. My father, James Warren (Jim) Carpenter was born here in 1885.
Then I dropped by the West Prong Cemetery and videoed a few Carpenter family tombstones.
I got some lovely wildflower videos, but did not include them in this short presentation.
