M. P. Abdus Samad Samadani, is scholar, orator, academician, Indian politician and a two-time member of Rajya Sabha, the upper House of Indian Parliament and former Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) of Kerala from Kottakkal Assembly Constituency. Born in Kottakkal, a small town in Malappuram district in Kerala, Samadani is currently the national secretary of Indian Union Muslim League (IUML).
