Mapped my dodge key to the middle key of my mouse, and mapped interact button to my scroll up wheel. It has made combat and farming materials much easier.

It should be mentioned to new players that basically any higher location can be accessed with a pickaxe and a little patience. When I first played the game, I treated the pickaxe as if it were the same as any other game (that it could only displace area directly in front of me). However, as we now know, it's much more functional allowing us to dig up and over, like an upside-down 'L' so you can easily create a staircase up the side of a mountain. As such it's also a good tip to also carry an extra pickaxe for this purpose.

Here's a quick tip. You can consistantly pull 3 waters out of a well you place/pickup at your base with no down time. Nifty when you need quick water for seedbeds.

concentrate on the urns in the spires, they drop sweet loot all the time (might not be so good if you redo the first spire later as those loots are lower tier). I found experience scrolls in the revelwood spire along with copper ingots, potions and flame prayers. the urns respawn after a while as well

Tip 51: No stone in the desert (and maybe other biomes), but you want to build an altar...? Mine the stone posts which run along the roads and paths of Embervale

There are radom individual rocks that can be mined for just enough stone to build an altar but yes, it is a better idea to carry a few stones with you just in case

beastmaster makes exploring easier and get passive XP by letting a guarding creature/Vukah attacking the enemies, even fell wyvern birds can be allied with the skill

i played with 4 friends, and we finished game in 64 hours :D like 100%, all achievements, items, etc. We didnt even speed run it. so it was funny to me when you said on the start of the video, tips and tricks for first 70 hours :D nice video tho!

I have also gone through the game about 3 times and every time I play, I find new ways of playing it.

I'd be careful calling anything in this game "not end game viable". Just because there isn't an eternal lightning spell yet doesn't mean spec'ing for it isn't worth it. You just have to craft ammunition for it, which is annoying, and I'm hopeful they add an eternal version of chain lightning.

My hope is that once the rest of the map is available, we get more variety for the mage class. I didnt find anything outside of enternal fireball and acid bite to be worth my time.

Just dropping this little tidbit but speccing into lightning is viable in this current game because the best wand in the game, the ritual tempest wand, is lightning.

@riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiip it really depends upon which monster you're up against because some are weak to certain types and resistant to others. Also depends upon how you have your skill points setup too.

make sure you have rested buff, maybe stamina food and dont jump at the beginning to grapple on it

My biggest tip is to go for a magebuild, not a meleebuild. I switched, and I can actually kill enemies now. Either mage is overpowered as heck, or melee is just broken. Also, if you start to lockpick something and use your dodge/dash you can enter the chest instantly. Don't have to wait for the animation to finish. Wish they made it so you just open the chest like any other, but it requires a lockpick to actually open it. That said, lots of nice and helpful tricks. I'm so glad you called out others who tell you how to get the best gear by logging out and back in. What a waste of money. I'm also happy you didn't do the same annoying tip about "holding shift+r will quick stack". It's written ON THE SCREEN. Geez...

No ive tried both builds with different specs , you can get a decent melee build at best where as any mage build is insanely overpowered rn. I’m level 21 and 2 shotting max level 30 enemies. Edit: Not to mention you can one shot every single boss w the staff

I've played all three styles, and this just isn't true. Melee is perfectly capable of killing and playing through the game. I played melee mostly solo. Magic is just absolutely out of line right now. I imagine we will see nerfs to wands and acid bite specifically.

I’m using a melee build on my solo world coz I could tank almost everything and mage build when playing with my friend, coz he is the one tanking. Melee isn’t that bad if you know what you are dealing with.

You can do similar with an archer build too, but said build requires spending A Lot of time farming exploding arrows and continuously doing so in order to ensure you have a decent supply at all times. In comparison, a mage just has to farm for eternal spells once and they're set.

I can jump into a camp and kill everything with nearly no regard to my safety, can even do it with 2 of the poison scavengers with everyone else in the mix. Also agree magic is a bit out of balance. I would love to see a skill overhaul, which I'm sure we will get more skills later, some just.... Don't work well mechanically, like stealth playthroughs feels so janky, and merciless strike is so pointless! Still, E.A. is E.A, and so much can change, I'm super excited to see how the game develops 😊

You do not quite have the freedom to do whatever, whenever you want to. The red shroud and the flame altars shroud passage level mechanics locks parts of the map. You need to fight bosses to get their heads which then makes you able to upgrade the flame and the red shroud vanishes in certain parts. Since i mostly followed the quests and always upgraded my flame altar as soon as i could, i didn't even notice this in my first playthrough. But if you want to explore early and/or skip bosses you'll encounter this as a dead end.

also, a tip on this video is misleading. Yes it is possible to dismantle resources within the borders of your camp, but don't, you get more resources from mining it regularly than dismantling. Dismantling is quicker yes but it costs more in the end.

Best tip I've found is never ever eat yellow snow.
