Enjoy Bajiquan training, avoid over training 享受八極拳,避免過力

Спорт

Too much training in Bajiquan may lead to injuries. In the long term, over training in Bajiquan is not sustainable. Make sure your daily Bajiquan training is enjoyable. Dig deeper into what you have learned instead of always learning something new without digesting the old moves. 八極拳訓練過力可能導致受傷。長期過度的八極拳訓練也不可持續。確保每日的八極拳訓練給你帶來快樂。深入挖掘你已經學會的動作,而不要在沒有掌握舊動作以前總是學習新動作。

Thanks I needed this. Some days I workout only to fall asleep soon after (out of energy). For me 45 mins seems optimal but I end up spending 1.5 hours without realising

Thank you for this reminder, shifu. I should take a break for now. Recently my knees have been aching that I can't do the kicks properly. I think it's from practice and carrying heavy bundles of wood (house chore).

My training is pretty simple: 5 sets of 100 Jumping jacks (500 total), stretches, holding different stances (Ma Bu, Gong Bu, Pu Bu), then I do my forms.

Right now i'm bored with training everyday of movement , almost two and three weeks, kinda fatigue and burn-out too, for now i doing swimming with some calisthenic movement (stretching). my problem from years ago until is that putting personal discipline and consistency in training a martial arts form was not an easy task. Hard to focus due easy of too early excitement, then dissipate. Exactly like you explained at the above video, shifu. Can u give best advice in my training at home?how to get my motivation and focus back? thx u Shifu and stay safe

What's the optimal or preferred length of training bajiquan, Shifu?

I guess it also depends on what is the thing that you are doing in that time. While i train for a hour and a half, i mostly do stretches and flexibility exercises(my body is weak and skinny so i really need first to establish foundations as you have advised.) and so stances while spending most of the time perfecting the lesson 3 first routine. Thank you for your advice, Shifu. For advicing that students should take their time integrating bajiquan to themselves instead of just hoarding knowledge and in the end getting burnt out.

@@bajiquan.online Shifu, i feel a sharp pain in my right leg everytime i move it. Doing stances and doing routines makes it worse(It's been 2 days, it subsided for a day but when i tried again to train it appeared again). Should i give a rest to my lower body and instead focus for the time being on my upper body?
