What you're doing is acid etching not engraving

great idea to engrave/cut the resist mask and then etch for depth..the results could be improved with a better etching process, ferrous chloride etc..but the detailed mask is the trickiest part.

This is a great video. So, question. I got this same laser and they sent me metal dogtags and a black marker with it, but I haven't yet figured out how to make it etch with that. Do you have any idea how to do it any other way? I bought LBT 100 metal marking spray and have been trying this, but I'm wondering if maybe it's been on the wrong settings or something. Thank you.

hi i just bought one of the neje 1000mw engravers..i cant get it to work..driver installed ok when i open control software it has a popup that says connection ok but then when the control sofrtware shows welcome screen..it does not show any info in the status window on left side...and when i try to engrave it says error code 10040.... wondering if anyone has seen this issue...neje seems rto be a non existent company..no realwebsite or anyting...just some mixed bag info online..the engraver powers on with power calb e and shows up in device manager so im not sure why its not actually working or communicating with the neje control software

I have tried the packaging tape with my same mini laser as yours but it won’t cut through the packaging tape. Any suggestions??

I got mine the other day and tried it in wood and plastic and there is no problem but as shown in your video using packing tape,it didn't work.i already adjust the lens but still not burning..why its like that?..please help..thanks..

that's the one included with the Neje

use 50% sodium hydroxide and no electrisity its mutch faster

and I thought the laser engraved in the metal. That you still use electrolysis I had not thought

Good video and good idea, but because the result is not good, then I think that's the reason why the overall result of this video turns to be negative... Anyway your video is GOOD, the only problem is the bad result... I still liked your video by the way... :-)

I am just setting up this same engraver model and was wondering how to make a PCB with it. One possible solution might well be in this video.

You need to rethink how not to look stupid, etch that in your mind and you'll be ok...!!!
