Okay, this is straight from the Wiki sight for anyone who cares about the meaning: "This song is featured in the album Boku to Kimi to no Jikan Ryokou (ボクとキミとの時間旅行) and Astrologia no Juuni no Sign and has entered the Hall of Fame. Note that despite the fact that one of the twins in represented by Len, they are both suposed to be women. It tells the story of a pair of twins in a brothel, calling themselves the "Crimson (Rin) and White (Len) Spider Lilies". The twins carve in a symbol on the back of their necks as a promise to care for each other even if one of them is sold off. This eventually happens to the Crimson Lily and the White Lily comforts her, wishing her to find happiness, but before the man arrives in the morning they have sex and confess that they love each other. As soon and the Crimson Lily is gone, the White Lily reveals that she's though of her sister as nothing but a nuisence and cuts her symbol, declaring the brothel her domain."

My interpretation for this song's story is that these two Sisters have only had eachother for their whole lives, probably only had very little exposure with their parents. As such they likely weren't able to get much of an education, and probably had to live off of selling their bodies just to get food. However one day the younger sister falls in love with a man, very possibly someone of little social standing, and it was likely reciprocated, but in spite of that the younger sister is bought by another man to be his personal concubine, more then likely a lord of some type of large social importance. While not wanting to live without her younger sister, the Older Sister decides she would rather let her younger sister live a happy life and sacrifice herself for her, so on their last night of being together, the sisters sleep together, as a final farewell. The older sister dresses in her younger clothes and goes with the lord, while the younger runs off with the man she fell in love with, however upon bedding with the lord, in order to make sure he doesn't find out shes actually the older sister she murders him, then ends her own life, a she would rather be dead then without her younger sister, likely the only light in her life.

I remember a theory saying that, during the last night they were together, they decided to switch identities. Like a servant of Evil thing, only Rin was the one that wanted it. Here are the facts: First off, we see that Rin is the more cynical of the two siblings, while Len was the gentler one, it would make much more sense should it have been Rin that said those words in the end. Second, note that, before 'Rin' was taken away, she was always portrayed with her eyes CLOSED, while Len was the exact opposite, however, on the day she was to be taken away, their roles were reversed. Lastly, note what 'Len' said: "Because deep down we know that I'm you and your me," I'm pretty sure that was literal Furthermore, although i couldn't find the one for 'White spider Lilly', the meaning of 'Red spider Lilly' (in Hanakotoba- the Japanese language of flowers) is actually "Never to meet again, Lost memory, and Abandonment" Think about THAT!

I am a big fan of Kagamine Rin • Len. And I've watch all of their songs. So of the experience I have; I agree with you. In all of the songs Rin was the cynical one and Len was the gentler one. I can't possibly think that Len would think of Rin as a nuisance. Like you said, in the song " Because deep down we know that I'm you and you're me, "; I think it wouldn't be strange that they ( Rin and Len ) had switched places. Besides they look so similar, almost the same. 🤔🧐

I think that Len just wanted to get rid of Rin here and was playing a comedy, when he saw she wanted to go with a man he decided to help her getting what she wanted so he could be the only one in there at the end

I remember liking this music a couple years ago. It is now more of a guilty pleasure. SirHammet is quite excellent, a good vocalist. nowadays, I focus more on punk, classical, techno, and southern rock.

Alright. The thing is; I'm sure that them switching identities will prove to be an issue. The man is sure to /engage/, in some activities with whomever that went with him. If he wanted Rin, and the twins had switched identity, I'm sure he'd realize. Unless, in this song, both are female. Then again, it showed Len making love to Rin near the end. Though, it could very well work if they were both females, but I'd imagine him to be a male either way.

You, my friend, should go on The Voice or Americas got Talent or something. Your voice, mang, YOUR VOICe. Is perfect.

Okay so I have a theory. Rin and Len are twin geishas abandoned at birth. Thus presumably Len had to always take care of Rin and thus Rin became very spoiled and always relied on him thus they only had each other, and Len didn't enjoy that too much after so long. Then one day a man (perhaps a rich one) catches an eye for Rin. So in Rin's place Len seduces the man so that he would buy Rin (I'll take care of it and the claims to Rin liking someone even though he says I'm you and you're me). Len then tells her of this "good news". Then Rin gets cold feet and is afraid of leaving the only man she has ever had. Then Len and Rin create crimson and white spider lilies and Rin is reassured that they will never lose their bond. Then after Rin leaves Len severs his bond with her(the gemini marks on their necks ouch!) because he has always wanted to get rid of her in the first place because of how spoiled she was. Though in the begining I feel Rin always knew Len detested her as in the beginning of the song Rin says she doesn't like pity or lying so take off your mask thus thats why Len had sex with her *cough cough* make spider lilies and was willing to engrave marks on each other so that Rin wouldn't suspect him. Though in the end I don't believe she was that dumb and when she realized Len didn't want her anymore she goes with the man and tells Len she will always love him anyway.That's my theory anyway.

I'm really sick of the comments like "This is somehow connected to SOE." Like the idea of twins switching... Isn't a new concept (ehm... Parent Trap anybody) and like you use Rin and Len to make beautiful music and you get "THIS HAS TO BE CONNECTED TO THE STORY OF EVIL DISPITE THE FACT THE CREATOR DIDN'T EVEN INTEND IT NOR EVER WILL". Like stop being an obsessive fan for five minutes and enjoy music that will never connect up to another peice no matter how hard you squish them together.

So my understanding is that Rin and Len are abandoned geisha twins. Rin genuinely wants to stay with Len whereas Len does not (or convinces himself that they shouldn't stay together). That's why he finds someone who Rin may or may not actually be interested and says "leave it to me," so he woos the man pretending to be Rin. Rin therefore is bought by the man, and that's why Len is plottwist! happy at the end. Hope that helps and thank you for listening!

i'm 4 years late LOL XD did he kill himself in the end? i think he hate his life but at the same time worry about rin. that's why in the end, when someone else can keep her safe he doesn't have to worry anymore, that's why he say he got rid of the "nuisance". just my random theory tho, i don't even sure anyone would read this

Len isn't always the gentle one: the Synchronicity trilogy shows Len willing to destroy the world while Rin wants to save it. I'll grant that he's *usually* the gentler of them, but his being the more cynical one here doesn't necessarily mean anything except that the producer wanted to do something different with him.
