Thanks Valdemer, very nice video explaining your thought process. Super helpful. One question I have is what should we do, if the opponent goes castle before us. Do we push in with feudal units, assuming we have bigger army or ourselves go castle?

If they have no units, then pushing in with a lot of units can do a lot of damage. If they do have a lot of units that counter our comps we play it safe and go castle :)

I understand the purpose of King's palace, it's like safety, in case you get repelled, your eco is scalling better. But you anyway didn't go for safety, you dove the moment opponent hit age 3, so if this was the plan, isn't it better to use White tower offensively? If you had built White tower close to enemy (and next to some resource that the vills who built the LM will proceed to gather), you can produce siege right away. First trebuchet pops out in 15 sec and you start sieging at ~17:30 latest. (counting 30 sec for vills to walk) After that opponent can either fight into White tower to deal with trebuchets, which he will lose, or he can repair, in which case you just add more trebuchets.

Thanks for the build. Question: Delhi, Mongols, and ZXL are my nemesis as an English main. Is this build good for all three of these civs?

Could you do one on how to deal with stuff like this as Abbasid? I keep losing to people with worse macro than me, breaking the feudal contain is pretty hard.

2nd TC after a Drush would not make sense as those don't really go together in terms of timings and tempo advantage. The followup with more military is the strength of this build. If you want to do 2tc then you're doing it against civs you cant be aggressive against early such as Rus.

You can do this build against most civs but not vs Rus, English, Malians. :)

Nice build but I think it’s more suitable to start with 2TC for English, more resources, RAMS upgrades etc. are more deadly

It gets more complicated with malians but vs Rus you should play 2tc into FC. If you would like to delve deeper into matchup specific strats, then I would recommend contacting me on discord for coaching. :)

It's a great build on viable maps but there should be a disclaimer that it isn't viable on some maps for example in golden pit the gold vein can literally spawn under the tc

No, it will not. Instead, use the fast feudal longbow guide on my channel, and dont make a barracks. Full produce longbows and add upgrades at min 8-10

Someone just tried this on me. I hadn't seen the video yet. I was Rus and building a Kremlin next to my gold when the MAA attacked. The attack was in range of my TC though, so he had to move back with half health. As soon as my Kremlin finished, it killed his MAA. I thought he was going all in so I did too with knights and archers. He was gathering deer away from his base with no tower. I had 3 scouts so I saw it. My knights killed a few vills. His spearmen came shortly after just as I had archers. I just had my knights run away while archers killed his spearmen. Then I sent the knights back. They arrived as his archers showed up. So his archers were no match for my knights. I only had 3 I think at that point. I won. It was a fun game. The lesson is you can't just blindly follow a build order. You have to adapt. If the gold is in range of the TC, attacking the gold in the dark age might not be the best plan. I'm sure it's good in the right situation. Also, notice he doesn't send his vills unprotected to deer. Valdemar went to berries. It's slower than deer, but the faster gather rate won't make up for several dead villagers. You have to adapt to what is going on in your game. This build looks fun, but that doesn't mean it'll work in every game against every civ.

This build order is not good at all versus Rus as they got gold from gaia and has Kremlin, so yea every build order has to be picked wisely.

@@geoffreylow5845 that would be why. Plus as Rus I really didn't need to mine early on, just choose to get a knight, but even if he kept me off gold it wouldn't be that bad as Rus.

A white tower in their face would probably work well if you've managed to harass all game. I've done it a few times and they're forced to use rams which aren't that great now
