English Rib Knitting Stitch

The English Rib Knitting Stitch is a perfect and elegant way to adding that ‘stretchy’ ribbing part to your project.
//// Instructions:
Cast-on an even number of stitches
Row 1) K1 the first one, then [k1,p1] repeat for the whole row. End with k1.
Row 2) Pass first stitch purl wise with yarn in the back, k1, [ pass next one purl wise with yarn in the front, k1 (with yarn in the front to form a y/o) ]. Repeat [ ] for the whole row. Knit the last one.

    Looks almost like a brioche! Very lovely! And I did this pattern!, and Jo, you 've made it very easy for me, and I taught my sister how to do this! Thank you for making it so easy to make! Like I said, it looks like the brioche stitch, and we both love it!!

    Yes. You need at least 1 to make the stitch

    Yes, but maybe just at the top as it's very stretchy and you don't want them to fall off.

    Bind off in a loose knit/purl pattern... Marly Bird has a great loose bind off. It's towards the end of a lace wrap tutorial. I forget the name but you can search Marly Bird Loose Bind off and it's one of the first videos

    Knit 1, knit 2 together, pass first over the last one, purl, pass over,...so, it means "in pattern"
