Thanks for showing how to use ivy leaves for dye. Ivy has become very invasive in the Pacific Northwest of the US, where I live. It’s everywhere. Now I can take the leaves and feel good about it. I’m going to try the homemade iron water too. Thanks!

Hi! Thank you so much for your comment! I didn't know that Ivy was considered invasive in some parts of the US. Dyeing with them is definitely a great way to reduce the population of Ivy leaves. Greetings from England 😊
I live in the mid-east coat of the US; this vine is EVERYWHERE, and it's invasive. I CANNOT kill it. This is nice because now I have at least one use for it.

Hi Kenneth, we have the same problem here in England, all the native woods are covered in English ivy. Is a nice thing we can use it for something productive. 😊 and in my opinion the colours are amazing ( but I'm bias, I think all the colour for natural dye are amazing hehe )

Will this dye leech out in the wash? Do you need anything to seal the dye?
