English/Igbo : Sleep Learning : 250 Basic Words and Phrases ~ Binaural Beats ~ 1 Hour

#learnIgbo #speakIgbo #igbomadeeasy
Learn Igbo while you sleep. This video features 250 basic Igbo words and phrases. They are especially useful for the beginning student of Igbo.
Listening to this video once a day for a week will give you a mastery. But if you are really serious about learning Igbo fast, I suggest you go through this video three times daily; one in the morning, one in the afternoon, and one before bed or as you sleep.
You can play it as you work out, do chores, or sleep. However, it’s extra bonus if you take time once in a while to not only listen attentively, but also repeat the phrases.
The plan is to listen to this as often as possible until the words and phrases are natural to you, that you don't even need to think to say them.
For this presentation, it is very okay to cram. Trying to figure out the grammar and construction is not necessary at this stage. Also, you do not need to pay full attention to this lesson. Your first goal is to get familiar with how the Igbo language sounds. Then mimic it when you can.
These phrases can be used mainly for the first encounters.
Please leave a comment and let me know if you want to learn anything specific.

    First thank you, but unfortunately some constructive criticism. Background music to high, also if this video is aimed at learning Igbo while sleeping, can you tell me why adverts are coming in while video is playing? How am I meant to skip a advert in my sleep? By waking up because I wonder what the unsettled nose is in my ear, to realise that the advert has been playing for last 15 mins and I probably memorised the advert while sleeping rather that the Igbo. 🤷🏽‍♂️

    Hi Love, first thank you for being subtle. I could sense you trying so hard to be very nice and I appreciate that🥂😂😂. The background music is on me, the ads are on KZread. Because the new KZread policy allows KZread to put ads on your video whether or not you turn them on. I might as well just make revenue 'cos they'll be there regardless. So maybe learn while awake for now💔 I have another version, same video with minimal music. And the newer ones have no music. If you reply just as fast, this could be a chat🍻👍👍

    And you know you are correct. We could have said stuff like "akara ekwenti" for "phone number" and all that. And I think with a little imagination you could have figured anybody could have found the translation of those words from google if they wanted to. That's by the way. But the idea, you see, is like I've explained before, I am not teaching the pretentious classroom Igbo. Our primary goal is to get in the flow and be able to communicate like an average Igbo person. This video is designed to be at an entry level sort of. And the English/Igbo combinations were done on purpose to encourage the beginner. Think of it as my way of saying "...you see? You can do this!" Besides, this is how the average Igbo speaking person talks, I am one and I live among hundreds of thousands of them. You will sound like you're trying too hard if you have to spell everything out, worse with words like 'osikapa' for rice, and 'mahadum' for university. I am sure you don't talk like that yourself. See? The idea is this, my Channel is unique for teaching Igbo language as we speak it today in the 21st Century. My audience are those who want to basically communicate with an average Igbo speaking person, and those original Igbo words like "ogu" for "twenty" are not in everyday use. So I don't see the use of learning the junk before the useful stuff. The goal is to communicate first, then you can go deeper from there. And I have provisions for going deeper. I hope this was helpful? Not just for you, but for everyone who may need the explanations

    Is this standard igbo? How often is Mh-mh used for no in Igbo? I grew up using that for no as a African American from the south but we would get pestered for it and be told to use actual words smh.

  • @IgboMadeEasy

    @IgboMadeEasy

    4 жыл бұрын

    mh-mh is just as well used as mba. Think of mh-mh as an informal way of saying no. Makes sense now right? That would be why you got pestered for it. Africa is big on 'respect'. So if they should suspect disrespect in your tone or word, then they would begin to pester you for almost every informal word or expression you make. I hope this was helpful?

    Are you telling me there is nothing like early, late and other English words you borrow to replace igbo language? Before English language, igbo language exist! We can not be using English language to replace some igbos words! For instance what is Odi too early, that is a borrow language! Thank you very much at least you are better than me, but am just too worried about igbo language been replace in English.

    Hi, thanks for your comment. I do appreciate your concern for the Igbo language, I share your sentiments. But the idea is this, my Channel is unique for teaching Igbo language as we speak it today in the 21st Century. My audience are those who want to basically communicate with an average Igbo speaking person, and those original Igbo words like "ogu" for "twenty" are not in everyday use. So I don't see the use of learning the junk before the useful stuff. The goal is to communicate first, then you can go deeper from there. I hope this was helpful?

    @@IgboMadeEasy Like i mention before now, i really appreciate you very much and you are better than me when it comes to speaking igbo Language, which am always ashamed of my self! Am not condemning you, am just too concern about igbo Language, and we are really missing it all, most especially this our generation! We need to do all what we can to make sure our language never lost! Take for instance igbo is language that when you speak, someone that don't understand igbo hear you before we always add English inside! In as much am not perfect in speaking igbo Language, i want to see our inheritance been restored fully.
