To be honest, Dortmund fans have become quieter and weaker in the last 10 years. Schalke, Frankfurt, Dyanmo Dresden, Hansa Rostock and Magdeburg are more crazy than Dortmund fans.

Parts of our family live near Manchester (Stockport) and since the 80s I’ve seen many games in the UK. The mood was always great and I loved it. Until the foreign money drove up the ticket prices and expelled the „real“ fans.

You definetly need to visit other derbies apart from BVB vs S04 in germany. Also in the second tier, especially Hannover vs Braunschweig, St. Pauli vs Hamburg and Kaiserslautern vs Karlsruhe. Some must visits there!

I never understand how people tend to underestimate the Bundesliga. It usually comes from people that only watch Premier League. The atmosphere in almost all football divisions are like that. Football will never die here, unlike in England.

Another great derby in german football is the lower saxony derby between Eintracht Braunschweig and Hannover. The History of this derby goes back to the foundation of the Bundesliga. There was only one spot left for and Hannover had the lager stadium but still Braunschweig got the spot. They're both in the second league right now and its right around the corner
