I picked up James from the airport and gave him a very cold welcome. I challenged him to get to Taichung without my help.

I’m Taiwanese who left Taiwan when I was 12 and have been living in the US for many years. I’m very impressed with how well both ladies at the ticket booth spoke English. Even the lady at 7-11 spoke very good English. When I go back to Taiwan to visit, I always speak Mandarin or Taiwanese with the locals, so this video is very much of an eye opener for me. My homeland Taiwan makes me proud 🥰

You did not show the hardest part - which is most likely getting from Taichung's TW Blvd MRT Station to the hotel. The airport MRT has made things a lot more convenient for arriving tourists than when there were only shuttle buses connecting the airport to Taoyuan airport. Finding the right counter to buy a NTD 30.- ticket was kind of a challenge back in the day. Now go get James an Easy Card, Prozzie, for even more convenience getting around in Taiwan!
