@@Cod597 I stand by it. The team from the Euros would have made an easier time of the world cup. We have scraped through nearly every game. I'm glad we're finally getting back to form but we're not there yet and we will need to be against Spain. Their confidence is starting to grow seeing how far they've come and the kind of battles they've had to face. Hopefully this win will be the boost they need for the final

@@Optikification There is a degree of truth to this. However, what has impressed me about the Lionesses over the last decade is their sheer bloody-mindedness and determination to win, even when they were sh*t (which they were 10 years ago).

@@richard6440 Well, England Women is just an English football that we will know since 1966. They had always been a favourites, but then fall short in the end without trophies. For the Lionesses this year, it gets even worse because there were numerous key players that got injured. Leah Williamson, the team captain, had even missed the World Cup by ACL injury.

@@ezraezra2928 Every team has players missing. The WC draw favours some teams more than others . It is how each team plays on the day. One game at a time. We shall have to wait and see. :)

Maybe in 100 years time the men's national team will start playing like that xx
