I was at this game. One of the most fun and exciting live sports events I have ever been to. Stadium was packed and both sets of fans were great. Fantastic game.

The women's football has really come a long way and of age. It's really great to watch them play both the teams. Especially white, she's great.

It really hasn't though.. you can pretty much tell who is going to be in the quarterfinals every year (u.s.a, England, Sweden, Spain, France, Brazil and then two other random teams who don't stand a prayer of advancing)... also up until the last 10-15yrs the u.s was the only country with a proffesional women's league meaning they won all those world cups against countries who didn't compete proffeionally and only came together once every so many years to qualify for and then play in the world cup...

It's all about who's most consistent under pressure. Look at Liverpool -- James Milner takes 99% of the pens and that's a team that has Salah, Mane, and Firmino on it. Only time he gives it up is when someone's chasing a record or a hat trick.

Guys It depends a lot on the moment in the game too, and White had already scored a goal. He would probably go with more confidence for the penalty. The coach must decide at times like this.

Eh? That game was 2-1, and could have gone either way had it not been for the disallowed goal, and the poor penalty miss. Yes the US won the cup, but nothing was clear from that game.

We all knew England were contenders after winning the Shebelieves Cup, but it was obvious the USA were favourites, and congrats to them, especially Megan Rapinoe, whose comments about Trump are absolutely right. Fair play to Spain, by the way, the Americans needed two penalties to beat them. My disappointment about England is that they missed three penalties, and after Nikita Parris had missed for the second time, I can’t understand why the spot kick in the semi was taken by Steph Houghton and not Ellen White. Steph had played brilliantly throughout the tournament, and it was a shame that the skipper will be remembered for the penalty, while White like she could score from anywhere in the box.
