Rugby aint the number 1 sport in England, like it is in most other tier 1 nations, yes there's a lot of people that play it, but there's also plenty of people who couldn't give two fucks about it. Its football, cricket, and then rugby.

@@oranha Yep, if anything Rugby is more diluted in Ireland, cos of its own sports. Im pretty sure Rugby is only the number 1 sport in NZ, SA and Wales, everyone else has at least an even split or other sports that are more popular.

I don't even think it's necessarily about rugby being second to football in England as many people into football I know are generally into sports, but Jonathon Ross doesn't come across as someone bothered by sports at all. I mean he certainly doesn't have many sports guests, and the lack of knowledge is easier to differentiate in rugby as it has more rules, and subjective rules, than for example, football.

Rugby players are great.

Ben's instincts clicked in there. He received the ball and instantly went to pass to the fly half.

Now thats some good entertainment

Woooooooooow. I mean I have watched many RWC finals and I would say 60/70% of players take their second place medals off. The reason pencil necks like yourself are getting your nickers in a twist is because you are xenophobic to England and its people. That has been the real damper for me this year - the level of anti-English zeal and glee. I am looking past the lot of you. 99% of England fans have lost with grace and most SA fans have also been very humble. Let's keep it that way.
