0:40 I kind of want to argue this. In my opinion Orcs are like Rube Goldberg style of engineering where it looks ugly but still functions even though it really shouldn't, kinds of prototyping. Dwarves engineer to be the most functional to the point that it has brutalism qualities, built to last. Humans are more for standardization and spread, mass production. Elves build slow works of art grown from natural sources, sort of masterwork and sustainability. Elves are to me the most focused on aesthetics and would be the most architect race.

At the same time the elves focus on not disturbing nature unless absolutely necessary means they’re always focused on building structures in the most efficient ways possible, which makes them the most engineery group.

I think dwarves can often focus on very precise, ornate yet functional works of art. Goblins and kobolds make stuff that just about works, humans do pretty normal stuff. Elves are architects, purely

It is actually good to build a structure that can bridge to other structures by a cliff, because then you can bypass the long natural route to get around to the lower area by simply putting a structure on the low ground that a bridge will be built to. Providing a ramp for your goblins to shortcut.

This game looks rather entertaining. I enjoyed watching you play it. Gonna go take a look at it now.

I kind of feel like you need to build more leisure focused buildings. If Paddy keeps ganking the rioters, you'll run out of Goblins

building next to a cliff helps keep enemies from being able to effectively siege the building from that direction. pretty typical for fortresses back in the day.

This whole video just encapsulates what happens in the first 5 minutes in a new rimworld play through every time

I feel like every time Matt plays a game that allows buildings to catch on fire he forgets to build wells and such to put them out until half his structures are on fire. Love the mayhem though, keep at it!

Wow I haven't seen anything about this game since Graystillplays played it back in its Alpha years ago. Cool to see how it changed.

This was a real fun one. You should check out frostpunk. Seems up your alley since you optimize city heating and layout. There's also some serious child labor while preventing your citizens to resort to cannibalism but hey its all fun and games right!
