There is no coil like coil. its obvious that ebay special wont be same quality as Febi or Denso, thanks to brexit cant get febi quickly (the suplier I used to use for febi no longer does UK) so Lucas it is. Aygo is a reliable car and with so rare repairs its a pity to give it a sh*t parts just to save a tenner.

Tip valid for all car makes, brands and machines in general. When confronted with similar situation. Always clean the matting surfaces. In this case rubber & metal and apply a tiny film of silicone lubricant. Silicone grease is perfectly fine. But silicone in spray form make it easy and simpler for the user. Not only it makes the assembly/disassembly process a breeze. But has some added benefits. Like protecting both materials, prevent corrosion... BTW dust and debris won't stick to it, like with normal oil and grease. There's not a single disadvantage to it. That says a lot! ;-) On my own 107, removing and refitting the air filter cover is literally a pull up or push down job! Worth about 3 seconds of my time! Can't be better than that! LOL 😂

@@fookayou8607 - For goodness sake, make a proper diagnostic of the issue before blindly trowing parts into it. In the end it's much cheaper, easier and put you back on track ASAP. I see this over and over again, it's painful to watch. Although I must admit over the years made some very interesting deals (read very cheap) because of loose contacts and other simple fixes. For which the previous owners where struggling, trowing parts while spending a lot of time and money. Because of some broken wire and things like that. ;-) Cheers

Great videos ! I have a 2013 C1. Problem I’m having is, for one it’s sucking in slightly from tail pipe on tick over. Also when your sat in car and you rev very gently, as the engine goes back to tick over I gave a judder in the cabin. There is slight play in the top left engine mounting but not excessive. It’s done 54k full service history, just had a full service yesterday. The garage suggested timing may have jumped. But it’s a really fit C1, pulls very well, no misfire just a judder from low Revs…. I have a problem with my C1 I can't figure out at all. When I'm idle for a while, say in a drive-through and it's taking a couple of minutes and when it's time to drive away and drive more normal the engine light turns on and it begins to act all weird. I notice when I'm trying to put in the second gear and as soon as I press the clutch the rev counter just goes down to zero and the car dies. If I have speed I just pop the clutch and it goes again but most of the times I have to restart the car a couple of times for it to stop behaving like this. The rev counter normally never goes below 1000 rpm when idle but I sort of have to keep it up there by constantly feeding it gas when this happens to me. What gives? Any pointers in the right direction would be awesome and thanks for your videos, mate. I've learned so much!

Thanks you for the great video. I do have one question if you don't mind. My Toyota Aygo is making a ticking sound when i give it some throttle. When idling or driving at a steady spead, you can't hear a thing. Could this be a faulty coil? I have seen some people who had the same problem and they fixed it by changing the coil. I myself also think it's a coil because you only hear it when you give it some throttle and that's the moment the coil should be working. What would your guess be?

Sometimes though the rpm's drop to a lower than usual causing the engine to vibrate and then resets itself to the correct rpm's. I don't think that's a normal thing so maybe it's correlated to a faulty coil? The ticking on the Corsa is noticable when not using the throttle and is also not always in rythm with the engine. The sound is the same tho. So I'm not sure if it is the same problem.
