    So glad you shot this video. I bought a 2017 Camry SE a few months ago and just took a look under the hood and need to detail the engine badly.

    In the old days I used to first dust off the engine, use a hand sprayer with diesel as the cleaning solution, diesel cleans engines with no worry of short circuits or damaging the sensitive engine parts

    Well, that's a bad idea, they damage rubber hoses and harness connectors, I seen so many people use this technique, but after a while they crack rubber hoses

    Great results ! Next time- mention the cleaning products you use. Some damage plastics and wires. Thanks , I liked your other video on Trans.Fluid change on the Camry . Cheers...

    I’m thinking of buying a Camry from another state but, judging by the pictures it looked like some rust (?) on the engine. I am wondering if it’s worth buying

    They are worth buying. I have a Toyota Camry 2019 SE. And to this day I have no rust on anything. It's really on how well the owner of the car takes car of it and and making it a routine to clean your cars inside and out.

    I wouldnt use a pressure washer on the engine, it could inject water into the electrical conecetions and short them out but you do you...

  • @AliMECH

    @AliMECH

    For your information all the connectors are water proof, you can say that when the car is old and the connector harnesses old, they may leak water, but this is a 3 years all car, no problem with it

  • @by_di3go_usa96

    @@AliMECH oh all right. But it's just that rubber being rubber. In an engine there's heat, a lot of heat. So if the material decompresses and compresses a lot of time idk know maybe for 3 or more years then the water tight connections might worn out a little and shooting pressurized water into them might not be a good idea. But in a new car yeah I guess you could take the risk

    You let water enters air inlet !!

  • @AliMECH

    @AliMECH

    4 жыл бұрын

    There is a trap after the air inlet In case entering water, if you look at the air inlet closely, there is a bucket shape with a hole in the bottom, the water will drain from there without letting entering the throttle... factory thought about that as well
