the cosplayer was so soft-spoken! and i love how respectful everyone was when meeting these women. i suppose it's a part of the culture to be polite, especially towards your elders (my family is korean, this isn't just be stereotyping anybody ^^') but it was so nice to see these kids being so kind

As an American I definitely think she would be considered plus sized, or at least midsized. Her weight doesn’t make her less beautiful, but she is technically overweight (I think, I don’t know her exact weight lol)

probably because of the beauty standard in Korea. In Korea, it's ideal for women to have slim features, so i guess a curvy model is considered plus-size there

Interesting, I guess average americans are bigger so it's considered an average size maybe ? In France, she would still be considered "plus size", because technically overweight. Someone can be overweight and still look good, being '"plus size" doesn't have a negative connotation. Everyone would agree that she looks fabulous

I like the girl with tattoos. People with tattoos seem to be stereotyped by those who don't have any or don't like tattoos. So it's refreshing to actually see a knowledgeable tattooist who has ink herself to prove she's just like anyone else.

Is noone gonna mention that cospayer's voice?? It's so soft and warm and comforting, I love it ! All of them look amazing and stunning, they own their looks and choices and are great examples for young folks who feel like they have to fit in a box in order to be accepted. And as always, the students' reactions are adorable, curious and open minded ! Be yourself and love yourself ♥

I'm a combination of the curvy lady and the tattooed lady, so seeing the kids accept them makes me feel more easy about visiting Korea. :]

Visiting will most likely be ok. I think they have an open attitude to tourists. What I've understood is more difficult is when you choose to live there and work there. When you try to integrate into Korean society, apparently you will deal with a lot of discrimination and bullying.

tabby25hope Nah you wouldn’t really be bullied or outcasted. I’ve seen a lot of chubby Koreans who are honestly some of the most popular outgoing leaders. In korea, as long as you’re hardworking and have basic level of sociability, you’re accepted. But you will probably hear comments to lose weight or to get fit., and to hear these comments at a bigger size is not abnormal., even in America, people of ethnic roots such Latino, Haitian, Fijian, African roots are blunt like that about weight. I go to a very multicultural church and a lot of our church members even lecture a Korean guy who is heavier and they tell him to lose weight

This is fascinating to me. The idea of just not having access to people like this, and seeing them as completely strange and foreign is kind of cute and innocent, though I can see how not having a ton of diversity could cause problems. Mostly I love how the teenagers are so kind and welcoming to these people who are fairly different from them. It's interesting because I am American and was surrounded by people like this from a young age. Various different colors, religions, levels of weight, tattoos, what have you... But I didn't know Any Asian people at all. So it's ironic to me seeing the reverse.

That are ALL so beautiful! The kids are adorable and respectful, too. Tattooing is frowned upon immensely in Japan as low class, and she is very strong to do as she chooses and stand up to live her own life! I have 4 tattoos and each one special and personal to me. Lovely video! I am a plus size woman very similar to this lady, I'm proud to have an hourglass shape with hips and a smaller waist! All women are beautiful!

This is a very good example of how appearance can be deceiving. Many people would assume being plus sized can lead to insecurity, and though that may be the case for some, which is sad but true, as shown here and many other people, there are plus sized, at least in this case, women, who are very comfortable in their skin. The tattooed lady could very easily come off as intimidating and scary but she seemed to be the complete opposite. Such a sweet, quiet and shy soul from what I saw. The cosplayer too. Her outfit and her speaking voice could not have been more different that I was expecting, idk what I was expecting but her voice caught me off guard . A very calm, not necessarily soft spoken per say but she has one of those calming ASMR voices you could listen too for a while. For the body builder, my heart hurt that she gets called mean things because she's doing what she likes. Like it's not like she's doing anything illegal but unfortunately stigmas still exist beauty standards and so on too. I hope things get better It's one thing to judge on first appearance and another to get to interact and know someone

I like the woman with the tattoos, she's a great example of majority of people who do have tattoos like myself. Also her reasonings behind her tattoos and her attitude when she clenched her fists are also great, that shows show restraint and strength. Also body builder, so cool! They're all really great, hopefully these things become more normal.

The big size model is gave me confidence💫 I am look like her, I am normal in weight but I don't like my hips... now I am more confidence about my body 🙂🙂🙂❤❤❤

As a man from the US. I can COMFORTABLY say the "plus size" model has the "IDEAL", "PERFECT" body for most straight American dudes. She’s also very pretty😂. And I’m not comparing myself to curvier women I’m sharing my experiences and treatment as a skinny woman which justifies his point that most American men prefer curvier women. I’m not even that skinny I’m average yet I get told I look anorexic which I look nowhere near that, just bc I’m not thicker. Never said that curvy women don’t get left for skinny women.

this reminded me of when I was like 16 yo and meet a female firefighter for the first time. She and her colleague were sent to my school during a talk about careers and professions. she taught us many different procedures and also how to pick up someone who was unconscious. She did a demonstration with a male teacher who was taller than her, it was sooo cool

This just popped up on my feed, but it was so cute! It made me smile. I love how curious the kids were, all the questions they asked and how respectful. All the guests were gorgeous girl-bosses! Love it! And omg! The cosplayer! When I saw that the hand she made moves! That is so f-ing cool! Beautiful work!

The competitive bodybuilding scene has gone really weird lately. Jeon Sujin looks so much more attractive in her off-season appearance here than in the competition pics. We can probably say the same about most male bodybuilders.

The body building world has gone super extreme in the last 30+ years. Today, there's a lot less focus on symmetry and having appealing body lines. Today, at least in the men's side, it's just about being huge with super low body fat. Like, Arnold Schwarzenegger's Mr. Olympia winning body from the 1970's would look relatively small by today's standards.

I can tell how hard the students tried not to look down when they saw the cosplayer

I love that none of them follow the stereotypes set by the society of their country, for example the first girl they say that she eats if she feels like it regardless of being a large size obviously you should not romanticize obesity but she has a beautiful body and does not follow the pressure to be skinny like most she does what makes her happy without fear of being judged. That is why I am grateful to live in a country where no one is judged by your body or how you dress, no one cares about your life because everyone takes care of their own lives.

Acho isso tão legal, mas é realmente um choque cultural, aqui no Brasil é normal ter pessoas musculosas e todas tatuadas, não é muito normal encontrar alguém de cosplay na rua do nada mas tem diversos eventos de cosplay também, e sobre o corpo, não temos um padrão, é um misto de todos os gostos e tipos de misturas de étnias, a Coreia é bem padronizada pelo que vejo, achei bem curioso e diferente daqui! 😊

All of them are amazing... It amazed me that Cosplay artist could make their own outfits n props. Its amazing. Plus size model they always look amazing... I can't have tattoo. @@roxassora2706 No I mean super FLAT (not just korea, but most Far East Asia and Far Southeast Asia have that preference, most likely because they naturally have the most microscopic most Flat bra size, bottom size, and hip size in the world 🚪), like a man or a child, worse they always go shopping for clothes in the kids section

Love how this video shows that curvy thick women are also considered beautiful and matter instead of just stick women like in K-beauty standards. This is very helpful for those insecure with their thick thighs/curvy bodies and makes them feel less insecure about it.
