The most important thing for Eric and Fang was to love and protect Rosie unconditionally and completely; to be considerate of her feelings and ambitions. Both men failed miserably to do that. Thankfully, she has the courage to move on...

I like su character, she knows what she wants and always put herself first. She keeps her composure most of the time and has control on her emotions, not a fool for love like Rosie

Everyone has a different view about love, some take it for granted. Some sacrifice all for it, but in my opinion, no matter how deeply you love some one, don't lose your character ! That's why I love about Rose's character!

She's my favorite character. Crystal Liu does a remarkable job portraying Rosie but she needs to get her life back in order and stop relying on men. She is so strong and independent until she meets a man.

2 people from different worlds... So pleased to see Rose makes her crucial decision.

She was mighty calm when telling him she's going for a divorce, would have been hard to keep your cool, especially with him trying to use the child to threaten her with, l'd have had a whole list of reason to show him. Seen this fella in other stories where's he much more of the nice guy, guess he wanted to expand his talents into another area, must say he's done a good job playing this obsessive control freak, he looks quite convincing.

He seems to know a lot about human nature, and how to manipulate others to his will… at least in the beginning…you would think he’d try in a different way to appease Rose in the end to stay…I’m surprised they didn’t give him a lover, on top of all else he did…perhaps it took all his energy to control Rose…

@@gaylerihm5779 l didn't get the feel that despite the way he was with Rosie, that he would also take on a mistress, l felt he considered Rosie his prize and didn't want to share her with anyone, other work colleagues, she might get if she went to work or even her own family, he was just obsessed with keeping her for himself. But now we've seen at his dinner celebrations there's a gold digger already setting her sights on him so now they've divorced he might hook up with her.

Yes, I first saw him playing a brave, dashing undercover cop fighting a drug syndicate. This character has been really hard for me to accept. 😐

从戏剧角度说，苏苏离过婚这个情节是一大败笔，说明她早已走出了性侵的阴影，那事件对她情感生活的影响并没有人想象的那么大，而前面的铺垫诸如她排斥异性恐婚等也都失去了说服力，同时黄振华的包容大度也被稀释了。

Far from possesiveness and egoistic atittude on his part that unfolds a past full of insecurity and self consciousness, lack of steem and other issues that she cannot , no matter how hard she tries, revert! This marathon run was a deep metaphor for the unequal effects of marriage on men and women, an inspiration to get to a finish line you never dreamed of attaining for one, a burden to carry to the finish line for the other. It is very rare for a marriage to be beneficial to a woman. Not worth it, but again, there is no reasoning with a woman in love.

When there is no respect for each other in a relationship, you are drawing a line for yourself and your partner when you realise that your freedom is gone you are no longer yourself than your innerself kicks in fighting for you. Rose character is a fine example, i hope she keeps on fighting and lead by example.

This is exactly what life teaches us afterwards. Some people can't see how they are poison of the people they love and ruining their own lives. This inferiority complex Fang has blinds him to be able to really love Rose. The fear of losing her is bigger than his love for her. He actually doesn't know how to love someone. His actions has been calculative and a manipulation from start to end. Love is not possession, nor controlling someone, nor giving what you think is good for someone. I think he never stood in her shoes once. Eric was selfish too, but different. Finding someone that love you, admire, gives you freedom, and respect and vice versa will last.

I didn't realize that the first time I saw Crystal Liu was over 15 years ago. She did a movie with Jet Li and Jackie Chan called The Forbidden Kingdom based on the Monkey King story. It was filmed in 2008

And he deliberately doesn't tell his mom that Rosie had a good income, scholarship, and lent him the money to start the company when he lost his job....he didn't care if his mother would then be unhappy with Rosie because he wanted to appear as the 'good guy' who works hard to grow his business to impress others and compete with Rosie's ex-boyfriend. He's drowning in his own insecurity and that's why he tries so hard to isolate Rosie from her job first and then from seeing her friends. He uses their kid to try make her feel like she should stay for the family 's sake. Too bad she wasted over 3yrs being pulled down by him, she lost most of her self-confidence.
