Su was so wise- long before all this, she told Rosie to watch out for his insecurities. The rush to marry was a huge, huge mistake, and all triggered by Eric coming back into the picture and damaging Rosie's calm. I'm sure she would have taken this relationship much slower if he hadn't come back on the scene. This is all so sad and could have been avoidable too, but we all make bad decisions sometimes.

The audacity of this mother in law. If my mom spoke about my wife and child like that she'd be on the first bus back to her hick town no questions asked but he so determined to have a guard there supervising every move that Rosie makes. It's disgusting. Also making decisions for major purchase like a HOME without his wifes input or consideration. Rosie has a patience of a saint with this man because there is no way. He is slowly taking her confidence and self esteem away. The old Rosie would have told them both to kick rocks.

看他让玫瑰裙子换成裤子的片段，简直让人窒息，玫瑰居然没有发怒，身份的转变啊真是让人无助又无奈，没有自我的那几年，很多人估计都感同身受

林更新演技好，做得夠賤和少氣，我真的看不起玫瑰的丈夫！😅

这部剧感觉不真实的原因是玫瑰的生活不立体，她那么优秀上学那么多年，没有发小没有好友除了工作认识的苏苏之外没有任何闺蜜，在上海生活父母朋友的联系也没有，抓周女儿生日外公外婆不到场，连一点同事朋友都不在场，就是不生活化。

Rosie gave Fang the money to start his business and he betrays her trust by going behind her back to end her job 'for' her, he doesn't tell his mom Rosie had a very good income & lent him the money, he lies often, he knows his mom thinks Rosie did nothing and is demanding him to start the business when in reality it was his dream. Fang wants to compete with Eric and is intensely insecure in himself as a man. He has lied many times - being dishonest to Rosie's family about his intentions. He keeps doing nothing to stop his mother constantly badgering Rosie and keeping her inside locked up is also very selfish. We find out he was the one who ordered his mom to do that to Rosie.... Rosie was a very smart curator and standout/high-achieving student, she used to have self-confidence before she married Fang.

Yes but that’s called brain washing by being abused you eventually believe abuser and lose your ability to reason correctly you believe them. But even when you don’t believe them, they have control of the money and control you that way!

Yea to those that was bashing Eric for this useless mummy boy Fang how yall feeling now 😂😂😂😂😂😂. I will choose Eric over Fang everytime. Eric may not understood Rosie well enough but he genuinely loved her Fang was obsessed with her it was never love he just wanted to possess her like she’s some property that isn’t live it’s weird along with his stupid mother whom really would make a perfect couple to her “son” 😅

not 100% MIL are like that. there are really good and understanding ones (just like any countries). the dramas are a bit exaggerating a certain portion of Chinese MILs
