Just finished watching the entire series and I totally love it! Highly, highly recommended. One of the best since Ashes of Love & Ten Miles. It's not only centers on the main love story but also the relationship between father and child. I'm in love with the characters in this series, they are all unique and unexpected.

I loved the way my late father approved of me improving my education whilst my mum was totally against it and said I did not need education as it was a waste of precious time and just to learn all the home skills to become a good 'housewife' as my future husband would provide for me and I should work to contribute for my dowry and to remember it would be my brothers who needed a good education as it would be their duty to provide for their future families. Because I knew she put me in a Girls Technical High school which was only 4 years which would stop me from going to university, I lied to her and instead of taking sewing and home economics I said that I was only put in the commercial class where I did touch typing, shorthand, book keeping and my favourite Art which I excelled and even got a scholarship to go for further education but my mum was furious and said we could not afford it and told my dad that she forbade me to go and as I was a girl the Greek tradition was that it was upto the mother to determine the fate of the girls and the father for the boys. No matter how poor we were my dad bought me an old typewriter and a taperecorder to practise shorthand and when I finished school the world was mine with knowledge which only a few knew at that time as it was over 50 years ago when Adelaide was still starting to open businesses and from the start I worked in offices and when we went to Greece the offices in Piraeus pleaded for me to work for them as there were no filing systems and folders were in boxes on the floor and they were shocked at my interview of how fast I could type on the manual typewriter as the electric one were for their personal secretaries. Even today I am very old but am still in demand as I have a thirst for knowledge and do not hesitate to learn computer skills and data base systems as I encounter them. I proved to the girls that they can do anything no matter what background they come from. So a father can be a stepping stone in life as he knows what difficulties his daughter may come across, his faith in her is what makes her stronger. My mum will never understand why he believed in me more than their sons and my brothers would say I should have been born a boy haha. Love from Greece

Thank you for letting Yuan Hong act in this series. He is a excellent actor, and a convincing father to his daughter. I love this actor since CONDOR HEROS. I enjoyed the first episode very much. Zhao Jin and Yuan Hong characters have a very lovingly relationship, and good chemistry. I am looking forward to all the episodes. Thanks also for the subs.

Lin Yi...It's kinda weird watching him in a historical drama...But he can kill any look...

Just finished watching the entire series and I highly HIGHLY recommend it! This is one of the best series of this genre and I've seen almost all of them. Super love the story, the characters and the entire production. Definitely a new favorite next to Ashes of Love and Ten Miles of Peach blossoms.

I'm still puzzled at why this drama decided to use a cover song as the opening theme, but MICHIYUKI IS BEAUTIFUL AND ZHOU SHEN IS COVERING IT, so I won't complain too much about it. I love michiyuki. It's the ending theme song of the shonen-ai anime Loveless. It have been one of my favorite song for years! Now everyone who's not into yaoi can hear and discovery how beautiful this song is even if it's used for this drama. But the lyric is still mostly the same meaning just now sang in chinese.

It seems interesting I will check back later in a few weeks I don't have the patience to wait for so long.

I love this series so much!!! I watched all 40 episodes and I'm so sad it has to end ❤😭 Li Sha is so cute. But Ling Long reminds me of me a bit 😂 she is so strong and brave like her mother. Yuan Yi and Meng Zhan is so handsome I would say but I would say my favourite as far is Wu Yuan😍😍 she is so bad ass!!

I just watched this on the WeTV app! I'm like it a lot so far and look forward to this drama. 💓
