Reminds me of Who rules the world,pretending to he sick.. Bai jing ting has similar demeanor with Li hong yi when he is silent and looks serious just my observation. Of course they dont look similar in terms of appearance😊.

Our fl is a mood they way she walked past the guards with the other servant maids and telling them they are together 😅😅😅

Surprisingly, c-drama has been producing more and more good drama. It doesn't have to be some fancy CGI production. Just need a good script, serious actors, and no voice overs.

I don't think it should be a surprise. They've been making many very good dramas for years. But I do agree with you that in the last few years they've made way too many fantasy dramas with fancy CGI. I guess they are very popular with the younger audience.

@@ChinaSongsCollection Huh really? We may have different standards. I have watched a lot of drama for the last decade and half. In my personal experience, about one out of ten is good in c-drama. Half of them are not even watchable. Even the watchable ones are riddled with bad acting, third rate CGI and voice overs. Great dramas like Nirvana in Fire and Ming Lan are few and far in between. Korean dramas on the other hand don't have those issues mentioned above most of the time. Acting in general is much better, especially for young idol actors. I would much rather read captions and hear the tone and voice of the original actors than voice over. Even a drama like Ten Mile, which I love, but the CGI is still third rate. Personally I don't think it can compare to the beauty and actions of Chinese 3d anime. Just my opinion.

@@dennylam269 A decade and a half???! I don't know what you've been watching for the last decade and a half! All the ones you've quoted are ones in ancient /imperial settings. Those ones often do come with CGI. But there are a HUGE number of dramas either in modern settings or otherwise non- fantasy settings. Did you not watch any??? I can name a whole lot of them, ALL with excellent acting. Not sure if I can put links here. But I'll try posting a couple anyway for you to check out. I will do that in my next comment below in case they delete my comment.... (I can post A LOT more of them, but I won't in case they don't like links here)

They are getting much better. The voice overs were horrid and the stories drug out too long. They are much more on par with modern production now.

For those of you wondering if this drama is worth the watch, I came back to tell you YES! Almost all the characters are so lovable and the ones who aren’t you will pity them at some point. It’s a journey of sisterhood, brotherhood, and romance as they work towards a world of equality, justice, and liberty in an ancient era. Great humor along the way. There is some adorable jealousy but no third person who tries to breakup the couples. The ending was perfection. Such a beautiful story. I wish I could live in a world that is full of characters like these, people with hearts of gold.

It's really rare to see a chinese drama with a good ending. Most of the cdrama are really really good until the ending changes the whole mood! But this is a masterpiece. They need to make drama like this more often. This drama is so refreshing with unique ideas and views. Recommended 💯

good ending but also bad ending is part of real life aswell. dramas are to evoke emotions, changing of mood therefore isn't a bad thing, as mood is emotions.

Excellent start! FL and ML have great chemistry! Facial expressions says it all.The episode is well paced! Has us looking forward to the next episode! The comic relief is just what is needed! Congratulations for a hit show!

I am here after seeing the whole series. I really recommend it. It's really heartwarming and one of the best cdramas I have seen

It’s really exciting to see so many familiars faces from across different period and costume dramas that I’ve watched . Also it’s really refreshing to see some individuals playing roles I haven’t seen before such as Li Wei’s mother whose played concubines in the past in palace dramas.

I loved Li Wei’s Mother in the drama “Rise of the Phoenixes” the very first Chinese drama that I watched. She was awesome, cast as the Head Master’s wife, not only in that drama, but also in Ruyi’s Royal Love in the Palace. Zheng was also in “Rise of the Phoenixes” in a much different role - incredible!! Also Zheng’s mother was in Ruyi’s Royal Love - she was hysterical & always getting caught scheming -LOL. It really is exciting. Blessings to you all! 🇺🇸🙏🏼🙏🏼🇺🇸

Looks are always deceiving....one reason I am for not a fan of Cdramas. You're looks have nothing to do with character.

I love how differently the 3 women stand when interviewed. Especially their hands. It's a nice subtle hint to their contrast of characters.

After such a long time i found a chinese drama so good that i just couldnt stop watching it and finished it in very few days.. this was such a fresh warm and unique drama from the lead actors chemistry to my couple yin qi and shangguan i loved every bit of this series, The sisterhood and women supporting each other , relationship between 3rd 5th and 6th brothers.. such beautiful costumes and cinematography everything was so amazing IM GONNA MISS THEM SO MUCH🥺💚

This show so far is absolutely hilarious. I haven't stopped laughing since the first episode. I can't wait for all the other episodes to air too.

I love this drama so well and it is my first time seeing a drama with no ost in the opening but a soft melody full of portraiting the whole drama beautifully in seconds!

This is my second time watching the drama..... can't get enough of the characters......i highly recommend to watch this drama, a light hearted slice of life..filled with cute love stories and amazing character developments.

I could watch this show a dozen times, it has everything I want...comedy, romance, realistic danger points that make sense in the overall plot, really an amazing show.

I come back after watch, and i really recommend this serie, is one of the best series that i watch, the growth of the characters is amazing, the female characters are strong and well writed and the brotherhood is beautiful, you wana love the ML and the FL is so lovingly.... And the misunderstanding are very few and are resolved very quickly.... Beautiful and heartwarming ❤❤

Dear future viewers, this drama hits different from other dramas. So, make sure to watch it(especially if you love happy endings). The leads have a realy good chemistry and you will have a good laugh watching it. It doesn't follows the same style as other dramas where there is always a scheming girl. The misunderstanding are solved out quickly. The friendship shown between women is admirable. The writers have given it a humorous tone which is awesome. Every character is portrayed really well and it shows toxic relationships, sweet romance, a female dominated one and others. It has good character development too. Overall, you would love it(maybe even come back to this drama again cause you need a good laugh).

I fell in love with the colors . I can see the director genuine work , artistic brushes .. Hope it is going to be a nice journey especially after watching the imperial coroner which i classified it the best Drama in 2022/2021

This is a cute drama, it’s not your traditional historic drama. This drama talks about entitlement wanting something that does not belong to you. Talks about love no matter what region or background you are, but when you truly love someone you will never give up on them. It also talk about women empowering other women, sticking up for each other teaching each showing each other to be better of them self. I must say this is the first historic Chinese drama that I watched where women uplift each other woman without backstabbing each other to death. The leading male and female has cute relationship and very good chemistry. There’s nothing traumatic about this drama very lighthearted in my opinion compared to all the other historic drama I give it a 7/10.

"New Life Begins".....never ever was a title for a drama more on point. I envy everybody who discovers that drama and is watching it for the first time. You will enjoy it, trust me. My best wishes to all of you.

Excellent drama . I saw 20 episodes on Viki and so far I enjoyed every bit of it without skipping schenes witch rarely happens . It was hilarious . The suppoeting relationships between the various women of the princess is quite refreshing to see in a palace drama.

This drama seems interesting and funny. All 3 leading female are all pretty and have very different personalities.

I love this drama with the perfect leads and cast. I rarely watch a 40 episode faithfully straight through and stop watching some other good dramas that I started before this one that are pretty good as well. But this drama doesn’t disappoint at all. Each episode gets better. I laughed, cried, swooned over the cute romance and jealousy moments, got anxious about the action and politics, plotting from the power hungry 2 older brothers but love the women empowering each other. ML fell deeply in love with the FL… this drama is hilarious 😂 ❤ love the steamy kisses with the ML & FL as well

Tian xi wei is a great actor i just complete watching her new drama wrong carriage right groom ❤🎉😊😊

This is my fourth time coming to watch this movie❤❤

This was awesome! Just finished it yesterday. I was nice to watch a drama with redemptive characters and characters who show forgiveness. It is also a great drama because the actors' voices are their own. So we get to hear unique voices that actually fit the characters. This drama is unique in that the female characters are not all out to get each other kind of like Ted Lasso. This was an uplifting show that we need so much in these difficult times.

My favorite drama. I'll keep coming back here whenever I need a warm hug.

This is one of the best Chinese comedy dramas I ever watched. I never had to skip an episode. I am not found of CDrama. This is definitely fun and heartfelt to watch.

Highly recommended. 1. Plot is likeable and subtitles are top notch. 2. Protagonists and antagonists are incredible. All the characters portrayed their roles amazingly and beautifully. 3. Chemistry between ml and fl lead lively and their is no fatal misunderstandings between them. Ml lead's savageness is something you will definitely love. 4. Mainly all the female characters are so united too much attached to each other no conspiracy and jealousy among them. First time seeing in cdrama this much incredibly unities among women. 5. Their is also brotherhood and friendship. I can tell that aside from ml lead i like third and fifth lord. 6. Vicious and evil characters would get the taste of their own medicine. 7. Sweetest and cutest ending. Thanks a lot for uploading this with standard subtitles. *If you like to watch more dramas of ml lead's you can watch 'you are my hero' and 'reset' . I watched his three dramas including this. Three of his dramas have incredible and fabulous plot.

This drama is one of my new favourites. It has a great storyline without catfights. I find it funny and has a good love story. There is none of the usual falling off cliffs or falling off rooftops in the arms of a man. The kissing scenes are very realistic not two lips put together. I highly recommend this drama.

It's a good drama and sweet romance. Both the leads are attractive, funny and together a great pair. Also great supporting cast of brothers, friends, family and staff. I watched it earlier but never got the sequence right, so it was disjointed but would watch it all over again.
