When I say I was completely blindsided by this. Truly wasn't expecting it. I mean it explains the hug. But I'm still unsure of the why. Was the father wanting to be reunited with his long lost love? And best friend?

@@rhmp6185 He did it for three reasons, that I can tell. First, he said the thing that kept him going in prison was his hate and want for revenge, to kill Tong with his own hands, but now that he knows he was wrong, and his best friend never betrayed him, he had no reason for that hate anymore. Its why he gave back the usb drive. He had no more revenge against the Tang group. The second reason, was to set Tang Yi free. Tang Yi's mother didn't wanted a mob life for him, and Tang Yi was trying to go legitimate, which would be impossible to do, if his real father was a known drug cartel boss wanted in several countries by interpol. He hugged Tang Yi, told him not to live in his mistakes, waited for him to go up the stairs, then killed himself as he had no more revenge, no more hate, wanted his son to finally be free of the mob, and wanted to give up being a mobster. Third, I think he wanted to be with the women he loved, who according to her note, which he left in the grave, never truly stopped loving him. It's really sad, but I guess, knowing that his son, gets to do what he couldn't, gets to leave the mob, and has someone who loves him, and will be supporting him in his place (which I thought felt like maybe a goodbye when he told Fei to be there for Tang yi in the ways he couldn't) , was enough for him to feel at peace. I feel sad for Tang Yi though. To lose his birth father after finally finding him. I also noticed that Tang yi left all the keepsakes he had form the mob, behind. The music box, that his birth father gave his mother as a first gift, and the lighter he got from Tong. It felt like he was saying goodbye to that life, and those memories.

I just love Jack picking up Zhao and Tang Yi doubled over from laughter in the background. Then they just smile and wave as Jack drives away.

NOTHING can beat this ending: 1) Tang finally visits his mom's gravesite, hugs his real Dad for the first time then Dad shoots himself while he walks up 100 steps. 2) Jack gives up the mob, moves in with Zhao, and be his wifey. Zhao finally lost his virginity. 3) Shao Fei has sex with Tang for the last time, drops him off to prison(which looks like a resort), and makes out in front of two guards!

I searched up and found nothing on chris wu but did find something on “Kris Wu” which was a former member of the kpop group EXO, and a Canadian rapper. He was arrested for rape from what I could find but nothing on the actor Chris Wu from this series!

If am allowed to pick one of them, it will be Jack. Straight forward in expressing his feeling and he loves Zhao Zi unconditionally.

I cannot comprehend. It's such a great bl series, a masterpiece! 😭 I love it plus A-Fei's hair sticking out in the side.

The sound of gun shot.... I got a shock when I first saw this scene. It is very heartbreaking.

Chris and Jake were really good in progressing the story while Andy and Kenny provided a good side story. All of them provided a solid performance. I haven't watched HIStory 4 yet but "Trapped" set the bar high, for me at least.

Thanks for the English subtitles in this series, which are a huge improvement over the really bad ones in HIStory 1 and 2 series. Finally we get translators who sound as if they actually speak proper English. The only unsolved problem is that the translators forget that not just speech but printed Chinese needs to be translated: text messages, letters, etc. We are several times shown that important love letter than Tang Yi's father wrote to his mother, but we are never clearly told what it says.

I've fallin inlove with this Series. I don't regret watching this😊❤

I never thought that I'd find my role model and inspiration in this series... It's..... That stubborn strand of hair on Shao fei's head that refuses to be flattened. it remained unwavering and strong throughout all the drama in the series and if someone were to pick the best character here. I would choose that little strand because it gives everyone hope not to back down and fall down even after being through deep shit and having to watch two men being sickeningly sweet with eachother. Oh that mighty strand of stubborn hair.. .You will be remembered..

Those glass windows are really bothering me. It's like when you pass and see them in that moment I would probably get some popcorn and ready to make a sin specially Jack and Zhao. I regret not to see this series earlier. I love this!!

It's not like that was the last time they saw each other, I presume. I mean, there is visitation hours and phone calls 🥰 but wow that reunion after Tang Yi gets released must have been epic. I just love that Shao Fei let's him know he'll wait for him ❤ I really want a ss2.

What an amazing show!!! I fell in love with absolutely EVERYTHING! The gorgeous actors and how good they are, the storyline, the scenery etc. It was perfect from beginning to end. God, I wish there was more with these guys involved. They have amazing chemistry! This is a show I'll be watching for the rest of my life.

I have come back again and again to watch episodes of this GREAT story! I don't think I have ever come across a group of actors so comfortable in expressing who they are, their stories, and being so comfortable in their own skins....every one is perfect! Thank you, thank you!

Ok, ok.....the first time I watched this story because the actors tell a wonderful tale of changing perceptions through time, a fine detective story, lovely men learning to love each other. The second time was to appreciate the direction and setting the scenes in such a real...and realistic.....way. Today, I came back to listen to the music and the exquisite way the story is told. Kudos to all!

I'm more that satisfied with thus ending. One of the things that i hate in some dramas is, they let go the criminals without paying their sins and justify their actions because he is main character or he is some kind of related to the main character. But here glad they made it different.

I will definitely watch this again. So good. The performances all round were top drawer. Great writing and directing. An actual plot that you can invest in. This is what BL should be!

They really should have done 1 more episode of tang & a fie being together after getting out of jail, that would have been the bomb

This was so touching. All the storylines sorted themselves out for the most part. The reconnection of a father and son, the 'first time' of a couple that had many ups and downs, and the heart-breaking yet light-hearted separation of them main couple. Very nice - let's hope that Tang and Shao-Fei will still remain as strong as they were when Tang is released.

I was a little bit skeptical about this but with each episode I was drawn in, the acting got better, the cinematography got better, the music and each character having depth and not just being there as fillers. I loved it, it is a solid 8/10 for me. Funny how I finished Goldenblood before this so imagine the upgrade... we need more complex and matured plots like this.

I literally didn't want this series to end😭. I was hoping there would be continuation of this. One of my best chinese bl series' ever.❤

The actor chris wu i mean tangyi deserve many more awards for me his acting is on point when he emotional,romantic,angry my God i really admire him❤️

One of the best BL series I have watched. Characters were very strongly written. Unlike most other BLs, there no faux trauma or sudden trauma springing forth out of nowhere just for the sake of the plot, no awkward love scenes e.g. those awkward silence between the leads, those aren't the cute one, but the ones that makes the audiences feel awkward, no awkward postures. Tang-yi's character is so well written, I'm just at lose of words, one of the best main lead in BLs I've watched. His character is understandable, one can relate to him. So beautiful! And Shou-fei's character did a really good job at helping Tang-yi see through his anger, and taking him to a better life that both master Tang hoped for him and Tang-yi deserved. It's rare that I re-watch a BL, but this one is really one of the rare ones.

I've never been watch Taiwan BL before. I'm glad that the first Taiwan BL show I have ever watch was this show. Not the BL shows that have a really terrible story writing. It has well written, has strong characters and flesh them out too. I love this show 💞💖😻😸.

I came to watch this because of peoples content commenting on other threads how good this series was and they were so right. Loved it. The actor who played Tang Yi really did a great job at portraying the various emotions of the character. Fantastic, will have to rewatch it.

Such an amazing BL story... trendsetting....I've watched it 3 times now and love it even more. If there is an epilogue it would make an incredible season 2.

Until the very end, Fei's one strand hair did not waver LOL. One of the best BL series I have watched. This is probably the 3rd BL our of many that I cried so much specially when Tang-Yi and his biological father's moment. I can single out the part where I hear the Gun and Tang-Yi started crying. Trust me, I cried the same way how Tang-Yi cried :( I need a sequel during jail and out of jail of Tang-Yi. I watched History4: Make Our Days Count, so I need a complete ending for this one to compensate the other HAHAHA

the script writer and the director of this movie are so cool.. the story is not just for romance. they shows respect.. forgiveness and love… no discrimination ❤️

I can't even begin to imagine how awful Tangyi's inner turmoil was. Not crying; nope, not me. If not for me, what would you eat? *crying* Both my eyes will be watching you. *bawling*

For those who are wondering, this is not a new BL series, it was released few years ago and quite popular that time. It's just officially uploaded here on KZread. The good thing about this, is that it gives us hope that there will be new season for some HIStory series like Make Our Days Count and Trapped. Maybe, they are preparing for something and they are trying to build up the fan base and refresh those people who watched it before. If you check on social media sites, actors from MODC and Trapped have interactions until this day. Again, this is just a speculation because there's no official announcement yet.

Hello their. I was new to this taiwan BL series, that I didn't realize it ended 3 years back in 2019 when I search on Google and let me say this show really tells great story. A part of me is wondering why they post on KZread if ended 3 years ago? Do they want to show this BL drama show to gain more fans and their support from other countries by putting it on KZread? If so, then it really might have potential in having a season 2 because of the number fans right now. Apart of me says that it will never happen and it's the end but another part of me is hoping to see this have a second season. I'd be so happy this 2 once again. What do you think?
