Energy Cleansing a Room With Table Salt and Rubbing Alcohol

CAUTION: Please do this at your own risk. Have a fire extinguisher nearby and never leave the flame unattended. Children under 18 should not attempt this without an adult present!
In this video I show you how to cleanse the energy of a room in your house using table salt and rubbing alcohol. I learned this technique from Elisa Medhus and Jamie Butler. I linked their "how to" videos on energy cleansing below. Doing this is said to remove old, stagnant, unwanted, negative energies from a room and get rid of any energy that is no longer needed.
What you need:
Table Salt
Rubbing Alcohol
Glass Bowl
Lighter
Cookie Sheet
Oven Mitt
Safe Surface To Do This On
Put the oven mitt underneath the cookie sheet to help absorb the heat from the glass bowl while the alcohol burns. I take this extra precaution as to not damage the table.
Place the glass bowl on the cookie sheet. Pour enough salt in the bowl to cover the bottom and then pour enough rubbing alcohol over the salt to completely saturate it. Be careful not to add too much alcohol or your flame will burn high and for a lot longer than you want.
Carefully put the flame of your lighter to the alcohol. Watch it burn and do not leave it unsupervised. It will burn for a few minutes and hearing it sizzle is normal. Once all the alcohol is burned off the flame will disappear and you may see bits of brown or black salt. Typically there is brown crusts on the sides of the bowl. It is said that this is the result of the salt absorbing the unwanted or negative, stagnant energies in the room.
Clean up is easy. Once the bowl has cooled down, simply run water over the hardened salt in the sink and it will wash away down the drain. Wash out the bowl. You may have to scrub the inside to get some of the residue off the glass.
Some say that if you do this technique a few times the salt will eventually not have any brown residue after burning. That means all the negative energy is gone from the room and the room is completely cleansed.
It seems to have worked for me and was pretty cool to try! I hope you find it useful!

Wow! I tried this at work and I felt a noticeable difference. I work the graveyard shift and I am the only person around. For the longest time, something just didn't feel right whenever I showed up for work. Pretty much whenever I was at work my mind would start thinking negative thoughts. A lot of the thoughts were about where I work and that's how I justified having the thoughts. But it's still something that bothered me because I tried to focus on other things so I wouldn't be having those negative emotions. Nothing worked. Even when nothing was going on and everything was "calm" and "peaceful" I would still end up thinking negative thoughts about something work related whenever I was at work. So, after watching this video I decided to try the ritual just for the heck of it. As long as nothing caught on fire or the sprinkler system didn't go off, what harm could it do? And son of a bitch, I don't remember a time when I had ever felt such an instant feeling that something had been lifted. The cleansing feeling was extremely noticeable. I would definitely say there is a sense of peace now where I work. The real test will be how will this new sense of peace affect everyone else during the day. Hopefully, there will be some positive results.

Burning salt is very effective for purification but please don't use alcohol as it opens the door to lower energies/larves (smelling alcohol is unhealthy also). The best thing is to create a fire with natural ingredients only like small pieces of wood and when the fire is strong enough you can add salt. The purification will be much deeper and attract lighter energies.

@A It's not poisoning them, lol. It's killing them through denaturation, basically: destroying proteins that bacteria are built from. And generally - you want higher concentration than vodka (which is typically 40%, while for a good measure you want at least 60%, WHO recommends 70%.) Also: higher concentration alcohol will burn better ^_^ R M is right - vodka sux at burning, though fumes from evaporation can ignite, so don't play with your matches.

For all those who have a need of hearing and seeing the truth: The tools are not what makes the cleansing, it is the intention alone that works with the ritual to do what is needed. How can ANY salt or alcohol, in itself, be evil or bad? Same for a knife; you can cut up your child's dinner with it or attempt to hurt someone with it but that didn't make the knife itself evil. The results only lie in the intention, combining it with ritual simply brings it into physical existence. All ritual, good and bad, works on the very same principle. Some of those comments could only make one laugh... or cry, maybe.... heck, maybe both.

What is happening, metaphysically during this process that is cleansing the space? Why does lighting salt on fire cleanse a space rather than attract negativity? I haven't Seen this in any practice before just curious and interested.

  • @angela_gail

    @angela_gail

cgshrimpula hi there! Thanks for watching. You bring up a good question. As far as I know salt has been used for many many years as a cleansing agent and can be used to draw out impurities and also has healing properties. Fire is also cleansing and the purpose of the rubbing alcohol is for the fire to burn. Also, fire and salt can be associated with having grounding/earthly properties. With all that being said, metaphysically it comes down to intention in combination with the physical elements that is symbolic to transformation/cleansing/grounding and so negative energies can be transmuted. Our intention is powerful and can transmute the negative energy through the ritual. I see it at the negative energies getting drawn into the salt and when I throw it away or wash it down the sink they go to the earth or to the light (whatever you want to believe). If you believe it works it will serve you. If you don't then it won't and that's fine. Sorry for the lengthy response and not sure if that's the kind of answer you wanted but hope it helps. See Jamie Butler's KZread videos for more info! :)

That's a really good question. Depending on what your beliefs are - you could wash it down the drain with the intention that whatever negative energies were cleansed from the room are going back to the light or going back to the Earth (since Mother Earth is grounding). You could also run a little bit of water over the salt to break it up and then empty out the dish and bury the salt in the dirt outside to keep the negative energies grounded. My personal belief is that it's all about your intention. My intention was for the fire and salt to release and dissolve any old or negative energy from the room. According to the person who taught me this technique, and the link is below, you don't have to worry about anything after the burning. Hope this helps!

Ah yes the internet. Full of ridiculous pseudo science. Energy cleanse?! Unwanted negative energy?! I suppose this demonstrates an old adage: Stupidity does not know its stupitidy. That or Poe’s law.

@@faithcross8109 thank Lord, that I don't. I don't manipulate my mind or body in any way shape oor form, that will cause holy spirit to leave me and thus be far from God, that's when Demons and Satan find windows and doors to influence mind body and soul. No thanks. I stay on Jesus l Christ side, at all cost.
