Endothermic vs Exothermic Reaction Explained

Ғылым және технология

An exothermic reaction occurs when the energy content of the starting material is higher than that of the final products, while an endothermic reaction requires a continuous supply of energy to keep the reaction running.
This measurement plays a crucial role in the assessment of reactions in scale-up and process safety-related calculations. The quantity of heat released in an exothermic reaction is directly proportional to the severity of any incident that may occur. To obtain information such as the heat of reaction, sophisticated tools such as the RC1mx reaction calorimeter can be used. This instrument helps optimize challenging processes and expedites their implementation on a large scale.

But I think you mean by exothermic is the surroundings because it release this energy also and you can feel the heat

How if you heat lets say water it is endothermic because I absorb heat in ordrer to have more energy so it can become a vapor
