​​@@JuJu-xt2ze The cello is present during the whole string section. From 2:45 plays a viola. The low notes after 3:20 give it away. The violin starts at 3:35 alongside the viola and begins to play in duet with the it, slowly taking it away with higher notes towards the end. Meanwhile the cello is still delivering that haunting but calming backdrop and directing the strings towards the conclusion of the track. Absolute perfection.

Playing as cultists, am absolutely dominating. Winter hits and this song starts playing as my armies begin to descend upon the last bastion of humanity. Amazing.

I agree. Man, the cello is such an underrated instrument it isn't even funny. Among all the orchestral strings, I've found the cello is the most versatile, and really the most beautiful sounding as well if I'm honest. The bass isn't far behind for how beautiful its sound is, though.

For me this is definitely the most beautiful and poignant composition from an overall wonderful soundtrack.

There is an emotional quality to this piece I would place amongst the greatest compositions in history. This is absolutely fantastic.

I pity every person who will never get to hear this piece just because it is videogame music.

The sense of loss in this hit me much harder than I expected it to

For myself and I this song tells the story of a group of soldiers on a darkened and weathered canyon marching away from an immensely powerful foe, when 2:48 starts i imagine one soldier sees an arrow hit the ground right as the cello starts casing the soldier to hesitate! around the canyon edge he sees the outline of a enormous monster as lighting outlines the shadow. The rest of the song is the story of the soldier abandoning his comrades and his road to redemption. eh its just my interpretation of a really well done song, just to be able to invoke these types of story just makes me thing Fly is some type of music guru or something

It may be winter, but as the Mezari, I have my Winter Garden?(I forgotten the name lol) and my loyal archers are ready to fight till the death protecting their Homeland. No one incurs the wrath of the Mezari and gets away unscathed

@@VoidplayLP i love them, fortunaly they have the worst early units in the game so they aren't overpowered if you kill them quickly.

Winter kommt, but my cult is prepared.

Hearing this song I imagine a group of miners trapped underground. One finally musters up the courage to find an exit on his own. He walks alone in the dark and the song sounds of loneliness. That is until days later, he sees a light at the end of the tunnel. Running towards it, he enters a brightly lit room. It is the room he left all his fellow miners in; he has walked in a complete circle. They have all died and the music at 2:45 starts playing. The last half of the song sounds of a dark revelation. Sorry to sound depressing, but this song is pretty sad sounding.

MrEngranaje I would say the second half sound more of urgency, like they are all trying to mine their way out, it even sounds kinda like a pickaxe on stone at some points, the urgency increases as they run out of Food, water and fuel for fire. Then they run out and are left in the darkness, whether they find the surface or die in the darkness is open to interpretation.

Calm down man, it is a video game music, you don't need to write a masterpiece.
