Ending - How to Make a 2D Game in Java

In this final episode, we create the ending cutscene and complete the game.
There are still things we can add and I will likely make some extra videos from time to time, but this series ends here for now.
Also, you can arrange this however you want, expand it, and create something on your own. If you have followed up until this point, I'm sure you can do it.
Thank you so much for watching this long series. I could reach this point all thanks to you guys. I hope you enjoyed and had fun developing!

Thank you so much RyiSnow! When I started watching your videos in the late 2021, I barely know anything about Java. Thanks to your tutorials I have become more confident and my mind is full of ideas how to use your teachings to make my own 2D game! I hope I can share you my game someday. When that day comes, I will send you an email. Keep up the excellent work and I wish you a happy new year! Go and buy yourself an Asahi or two (or any beverage of your choice). I love Metroidvania games so I'd love to develop a 2D side scroll RPG someday for sure! That said, Kaarin Gaming (kzread.info) has already made a great 2D platformer tutorial so I'd recommend you check his channel if you haven't yet! Not exactly a Metroidvania but he has covered a lot of important basic mechanics :)

Hi RyiSnow!! I have a question!! I came from part 32(cutting trees). After part 24 when you made player hit monster my game started doing bugs when i hit monster. When I hit the monster the background moves for like 1ms a little bit to the left or up. I tried to fix it by myself and relised that the bug is only happening when monster hit sound play . So i fixed it by making the sound play one frame after the player hits the monster and thought the sound is just lagging. But now after part 32 this bug happens when the player hit the trees. I thought its from the sound (like last time) so i removed the sounds and this bug don't happen anymore when i hit the tree BUT it happens when the tree breaks ( i mean when the dryTree image becomes trunk) Even without sound! So why is this happening? Did i do something wrong in the code? Or is there something wrong in my images and sounds?? I used ur images! And my pc is new

Thanks! I learned a lot and still have some debugging to do since I went off the beaten path a few times :). Keep up the great work. Would you think it interesting to show how you made the map editor as a series?

Glad I could help and thank you for your donation! I decided not to make a tutorial about the editor although I initially planned it. It would likely require 5 to 10 videos to explain everything and it felt a bit too much.
