Endgame Bow Builds - Iceborne Amazing Builds - Season 4

Ойындар

A World of Builds Guide to my favorite builds in Monster Hunter World Iceborne. These builds are endgame builds using some of the best weapons and armor pre Safi'Jiiva!
Season 4 Episode 3: Endgame Bow Builds
In this video, we take a look at more builds for the Bow in MHW Iceborne. Remember that stats are stated while your character is idle with no active items or food buffs. While some jewel buff will be in effect like maximum might, the video should give you a sense of the type of build I'm going for.

Hey guys, I just wanted to make a quick note here in case people are wondering about the lack of Spread and Normal Shot jewels in these builds. Well, unfortunately, as I wanted to show off builds with survivability we had to cut some skills/jewels and as most of the builds are elemental based the spread and Forceshot jewels got dropped. Spread and Normal Shot up only give you more Raw Attack. The Bow is the weapon, which benefits highly from elemental damage. So trying to max out our elemental potential either by increasing our affinity for the true crit element or stamina management skills was the best call. So I hope that answers some questions and as always if you feel you need the jewels feel free to put them into the builds.

No, putting any of those jewels in will increase your overall damage output. This is very easy to test and have been proven to increase damage output. Do not spread misinformation! Just say you sacrifice damage output for survivability.

Thank you for the dragon piercer build! I had one in mhw base game and played it often because it was so much fun. Timing the perfect hit through bazel and uragaan tail-thru-head made me giddy 😝😝. I built one for Iceborne, but seeing the damage output of yours being nearly twice as powerful, I need to thank you! Never thought of using frostcraft!

Unless you're with others, tenderizer is just bad on the bow due to just how obnoxious the clutch claw is and having to do it TWICE for every part takes a while, especially if your monster of the day is something like the flying wyverns that like to move a lot. Crit eye/boost are great ideas for obvious reasons but I'm a little disappointed that you didn't point out a stamina/affinity build of some kind. Some crit with max stamina surge and constitution makes for REALLY good consistent damage. Where the true crit build has to wait for stamina every few moments a stamina build could bang out a little less damage for way longer and almost never stop. Namielle armor is great for this especially for the set bonus. Personally I dont think force/spread shots are ABSOLUTELY necessary just because ideally you'll be switching between the normal and power shot constantly to get those hits out and the two jewels usually cost too much to include. Mighty bow is really nice too. Most of the video is decent but I wish you brought up the consistent power of a stamina build instead of focusing on the BIG DAMAGE so much. Give it a try, cons + stam surge with namielle armor and decent element is a really powerful build, especially if you do it with a Kjarr weapon and some crit on top

I just want to point something out for your True Element acceleration builds. Having element attack level 6 is an overkill in most weapons with this set in my experience, because it most of the time caps out. Like with my Legianna bow and Lance I am capping out with just Ice attack level 3, so it ends up being an overkill and a waste of charm. Like for another example with my Namiele bow, I don't even need any decorations to cap it out, I just need the four piece (240->390 cap). So at some weapons it's better to just run a hybrid Velkhana and Namiele build with two pieces of each.

I personally don't use the bow at all but find it fun to play and I thought in the first build could you get gold rathian essence on a Safi bow and get divine blessing secret and swap some minor jewels for some divine blessing so it's more of a comfortable build if you aren't good with the bow and like I said I dont know which set bonuses you can get on Safi weapons so correct me if I'm wrong So basically it gets rid of the whole true crit element factor which the build is all about but it gives more non experienced bow players an easier life

Safi bows are basically the best options now, but they take a lot of farming to max out. Pre safi best bows are iirc; Fire > Glavenous arrow 2, Ice > icicle blizzard 2, Thunder > thundering strike bow, water > laguna shot 2, dragon > deathblow vall velos. For ice mist galcia is also pretty good. btw, the tobi bow (thunder) is nowhere near as good as a fully upgraded safi set. The zinogre thunder basically is less element but more raw, so a slightly different set up.

2pVelk/2pNami/Garuga legs or 2pVelk/3pSafi. Pretty much, 2pVelk is mandatory for crit element, and then you boost your elemental damage with 2pNami or 3pSafi. Same skills obviously, 6 element, WE3, CE7, BC+, normal, spread and then fill out the rest with QoL like con/stamina surge/HB.

If you have a safl now with silver los you can swap out a piece, but which piece depends on your decorations. I don’t have all the combinations in my mind, but you can choose quite freely

Not trying to take away from this mans hard work, but order of priority for true crit builds is BCP, Const/SS, Element, 100% Crit, then normal/spread, and then crit boost. Crit should be as close to 100% as possible, which these builds do not get. Crit boost is nice, but it is only a 5% raw damage boost assuming you have 100% crit. A normal and a spread will give a 10% raw boost to each, maxing out at 20% and 15% respecitvely. You should augment 0% affinity bows with 1 affinity to get to 10%, and the rest element. The best pre Safi armour is full silver rath and a tentacle coil, with this, assuming you have the gems for it, you can get crit eye 7, element 6, weakness 3, const 3, ss 1. Which is the core of any elemental build. You will then get some space for gems of your choice, I recommed normal or spreads. It should also be considered that constitution 1 is enough if you want to run both black belt and dash juice, leaving more space for other skills. This is just for 'meta' maxed out damage builds, and by no means do you have to build this. Play how you want with the loadout you want, but for those looking for the best damage, this is it

I have read that you actually get more damage going pure element awakenings on the Safi weapons and just running the normal critical element armor sets. The silver rath awakening can let you run more comfortable armor but is a small dps loss. Supposedly anyways. I’ve personally gone all element awakenings on my Safi bows just to save on dracolite.
