End Your Health Anxiety & GAD With These Words

Begin The #1 CBT Based Program For Health Anxiety & GAD Today: theanxietyguy.com/my-program/
Description: Internal dialogue just might be the most important thing for anyone suffering from health anxiety and GAD. The way you speak to yourself and the way you interpret situations consciously can have a big effect on how you feel, your belief systems, and how your life unfolds.
So in this important video for any health anxiety and generalized anxiety sufferers I want to show you what the one sentence is that can change your entire outlook on you, and your mental health. With consistent practice these internal words will seep through your negative thinking patterns and a new wave of thoughts about any challenges that arise will be born.

I can go months without Anxiety and Depression and then all of a sudden it comes from nowhere - when it comes I think I'm ill, I'll get twitches in my forehead and I feel my heart beating and as well as the physical symptoms my mind goes a hundred miles an hour about the fear of being ill. I think its my body's way of coping with the stress that has built up over the months, plus I seem to have forgotten how it feels to be ill - in the past I am sure I coped with it fine - but now if I am feeling tired or just not having a good day - I am thinking why? I should feel 100% great all the time, why am I not 100%. I will try your technique next time, plus also try to continue to reduce stress build up.

Pierremontquaker03 This was always what happened to me too ! I could have written what you wrote. Work on accepting it and knowing it will pass. Work on de-stressing and keeping up with your tools even when you feel great. Kind of like maintenance. I totally feel you on the “shouldn’t I feel great 100% of the time?” That’s SO me. I expect to feel great all the time but the truth is, that’s not normal ! We must embrace when we don’t feel good - and be kind to ourselves !

for 8 years I have been dealing with panic disorder, GAD and Hypochondria. the cruddy part is I know Im fine but the what if game starts in. So I started doing the what else game...palpitations? nope not heart attack just vagus nerve or too much caffeine. cough? nope not lung cancer just post nasal drip from allergies. I kid you not my big toe once hurt because I stubbed it but my mind went automatically to blood clot. no joke. Anxiety is crappy but my brain is crappier lol. my fight or flight is broken.

AWESOME!! Really never thought about seeing these symptoms as my body in perfect working order because my fight or flight system is going off. That really resonated with me. Love this teaching tool of asking ourselves what else could this be and search for the evidence that supports the other way of seeing the symptoms. Thank very much!

Thanks for inspiring message. I have had this "health anxiety" for 4-1/2 years. Symptoms will go away periodically and then hit full force for a few days in a row. I feel I have the right mindset but can't quite get over the hump. I long to be symptom free. I am proud of the fact that I am living I've to the fullest despite symptoms ie.. My relationships, work, physical health and interests. I just feel a little bit of joy is stolen from my spirt because of these persistent symptoms.

Been suffering from anxiety past 8 years. Recovering but there have been some setbacks. I used to feel miserable that no one (esp my family) understands what i'm going through. I thought i must be the only person in the world who would get sudden palpitations after a very moderate workout. I was so scared to exercise as a result. Even my doc never pieced it together for me! And then now, i found your videos. Speaks volumes to me. Dennis, you are a real mentor to me. Thanks so much! Looking for to finding out more about your program.

I am so happy I came across your channel! I was diagnosed with GAD in High School I was taking mediation and everything. I decided to stop medication mainly because I didn't want to become dependent on it to "fix" my anxiety problems. It wasn't too bad for a little while after but over time It started to get harder, and now sometimes I am okay and other days I have anxiety attacks some more severe than others about work or school or life in general, like trying to move out and live on my own and so on. Also I have this fear of driving I have been slowly trying to overcome. I tried getting my license once and then totally froze when it came to certain drives when I was practicing like the freeway. To this day I am still struggling with it (and it's been about 6 years since I first tried to when I was 20) but I am starting to work on it again. That and wanting to follow the career path I would like to be in but I feel like there is a lot of fear and anxiety holding me back. So coming across your channel may be one of the best things that has happened to me.

Your right Dennis I've thought for sure so many times this is it I am dying or if I go there or do that exercise etc I'm going to die its going to make my shortness if breath worse and I'm for sure gonna die.... I avoid so many things in life that used to bring me joy and happiness but the symptoms haven't killed me yet..I haven't fainted from the short if breath yet I told myself today so what I'm not going back to a doctor I pretty much gave up all hope and told myself it's a Illness that's killing me let it kill you ..I wish I could flip the switch that it is hypochondria causing me to feel like I've got a Illness it's anxiety controlling my thoughts which in turn controls my actions based off fear thanks for your videos...

Thank you so much for this video. I have probably had depression and anxiety since I was a child, just like I had a tumor from birth or childhood. At age 41 the tumor grew or moved to a position that threatened my life, caused brain injury and resulted in emergency surgical removal and traumatic brain injury. I've recently had some kind of breakdown and I've been forced to remember that I have an injured brain, anxiety and depression. I am currently working on acceptance again, eighteen years later. Months after my surgery, I was able to accept these mental health disorders, only because at the time, I promised myself that acceptance was only temporary, because I truly believed I was going to overcome my disabilities. For almost fourteen years I was successful in fooling myself and many other people, that I no longer had any mental health disorders or disabilities. In hindsight, my masquerade probably started really falling apart a three or four years ago when I stopped taking meds. Currently, I am back in therapy, ready to accept that I will always have mental health conditions and that I need to learn how to live fully, with happiness and joy, despite having a less than perfect brain. Thank you for this video

Wow! That looks a very nice place where to live. I still believe that is a very key point or step for recovering from anxiety to change one's owb enviroment and move in such an awesome place full of nature, sun etc. We use a term called destimulative enviroment which is the opposite of restimulative enviroment where past bad experiences, trauma, shock etc are keeping coming up and messing up our mental and physical health. ( Restimulative enviroment would be places were there is violence, bad news, examples hospitals, or places where one often has felt bad or sick etc etc). What consist this anxiety retreat? Is some kind of service you deliver?

I watched this video this morning and I wanted to give you my utmost thanks for all your help and support with these videos. So I'm sorry for this being TMI but it's also kind of funny. After listening to this video, earlier this afternoon I got a weird pinch of pain in my lower gut and of course, the analysis set in. But this time I thought instead, What else could this be? I thought well, it's after lunch and i do feel like i have to go to the bathroom...went to relieve myself and the pain is gone. 😂😂 i don't mean to make light of this very powerful suggestion but i just thought it was humorous how asking that question led to that ending. But again, thank you, your channel has been so very helpful in helping me address my anxiety issues. 💜

Hi Dennis. Hope you have had a magical time over the holidays. Im wondering if theres a link between happy or even sad emotions and anxiety sensations/symptoms. I asked this because out of the blue when i feel happy i get the same symptoms (palpertation-bump) as when im sad or run down. Thank you. Love your channel

Dennis do you have any videos on how to help lower baseline (what you wake up with) stress/anxiety levels while we go through our transition to more healthy thought cycles? Is this a thing? A past therapist brought this up with me, and I wanted to know.

Cody Lee I’ll admit I sometimes get suicidal (BUT I would never be able to do it, I have 4 young siblings and I could never do that to them) Most of the time if I start thinking Something bad is going to happen I’ll tell myself it’s just a thought, and just because I have this thought it doesn’t mean it’s going to happen! It’s a little harder when I have symptoms though, like headaches, shakiness etc. And these are worse when I goto sleep. It’s hard for me to deal with these because I have actually experienced health problems my worst fear is going blind, since I was 7/8 and I have had a migraine with blind spots 3x in my life and now every time I get A headache I panic. But I found it’s all about changing the way you think.. Some people randomly get panic attacks without knowing why but it’s because their subconscious mind is programmed to think these negative things. So what I do when I’m having a panic attack is sit there and let it happen. I don’t fight it. Because I find the worse part about a panic attack is fearing the panic attack! So once you don’t fear it anymore (it will get easier with practice) that’s one less thing you have to worry about! After that you should start changing your fears into something mutual as well as take your health into your own hands! I have been teaching myself about natural health like adrenal fatigue, leaky gut etc.and that’s helped a lot as well. If you want to text me about more, and videos I can recommend you can text me on Instagram/Snapchat, or whatever social media you have because there’s a lot more information I can give you!

@@zjunegirl1862 thanks for the reply. I've been dealing with this for 15~years. Its really been bad last 4 or 5 months. I'm constantly checking my heartbeat, checking my fingernails (to make sure I have good blood flow) pinching my arms and legs to make sure they're not going numb. I'm scared to turn my neck too far, with the fear that I'm going to snap a vein in my neck. I know it's in my head, but some days I can't deal. I'm 36 btw, and it doesn't get any better with age. I've had anxiety ever since I can remember, but it's continued to get worse over the years. I quit taking antidepressants about 18 months ago, because the side effects out weighed the benefits. I guess it's time for me to get back on them. I've been on 4 different antidepressants, and they've all quit working. I'm going to the Dr soon. Hopefully some medicine can fix my brain.

Cody Lee I know how you feel with constantly checking I had hypoglycaemia (low blood sugars) and I got so obsessed I was checking every 20 min. Soon as I felt a little cold or dizzy I would panic. Please don’t go on meds. That will throw off your brain chemistry even more. I don’t believe in medicine, for the fact of it being man made, and in my opinion they only Care about money and are taught to fix everything with a drug! Like high blood pressure for example.. it comes from low potassium or blocked arteries.. but all they do it treat the symptom, not the cause! I found out my migraines were from a hormonal imbalance and I got my blood and hormones checked like every three months from the age of 15 till about 18 and they always told me I was fine and to take birth control! And when I would get headaches daily they told me they didn’t know why! Well it was because I had high estrogen and so that originally caused my problems. I’m doing a lot better now! I went almost two years with no period and when I did get it I would get huge blood clots, extremely bad pains and heavy blood for 10 days at a time. Since February I only missed one period and it’s been regular since then. I don’t believe ANYTHING doctors say. They only know what they are taught, and they are taught to treat everything with pills for money. What drug were you on?

  • @zjunegirl1862

Cody Lee also the reason they stop working is because your body adapts to them. Your body is made to adapt to things and situations for optimal health. You can naturally create happy hormones with proper sleep, excercise, certain foods, etc. You never ever need a drug for health (again, in my opinion) your body gets everything from proper food, and lifestyle. And can heal almost if not anything. You should actually look into your gut health because everything starts there. Your brain is connected and if your stomach is off your mental health will be off.

Become aware of 3 things the speed in which you do things and slow it down, your breathing patterns, and your posture. These are the signals that get sent to a nervous system that is always trying to maintain positive balance and equilibrium. Much love.

Stan Janssen Best To find the types of feelings googling gives to you, and replace the behaviour with another one that fulfills the same feelings but becomes more helpful in time. You handle those symptoms of anxiety by reminding yourself that there are always three main ways to see anything, so what’s another possibility of this? Practice making the new response the auto pilot as you shape the response to any internal challenge to fit the direction you want to go.
