@ Alexander. Ive heard of an article written by Nokia Asian leader, wich described the fall of Nokia company by "the raise of unqualified ppl in the organization." He apparently illustrated that what happened was, that unqualified ppl united in the company and drove out the qualified ppl from the company and thats why the competence of the company plummeted. I believe this was the quota women who passed any man because of theyr sex, regardles of skills. Much like politics today?

It was never seen as a negotiated agreement. The USA screwed over Russia at every opportunity just after the fall, Jeffrey Sachs has said as much on this channel.

The biggest impediment to good policy is the refusal of political leaders and MSM to try to understand, let alone explain, the Russian perspective. Same with China and other countries we're supposed to hate. A good litigation lawyer knows the importance of understanding the other side's case better than opposing counsel. That's crucial to understanding how to deal with their case and crucial to informing the decision of whether the client should plead guilty in a criminal case or whether you try to reach an amicable or pragmatic settlement in a civil case. Basic stuff. It's especially important in international relations, but the idea has taken hold that if you try to make any effort to understand the other side, you're a traitor and you need to be ostracised from polite society. But, a commentator more expert than me always says - "you can't solve a problem you don't understand" Without understanding the Russian perspective, it's impossible to deal successfully with Russia. Even if you want to remain hostile to Russia, failing to understand Russia, its perspective, and especially its military capacity, its resolve and its economic strength means your hostile actions will fail and backfire time and time again. That's exactly what's happened.

Interesting point of view on the USSR collapse, but the part about Baltic states is completely wrong, these lands didn't join due to Molotov-Ribbentrop pact😅 They first were practically bought from Sweden as a result of Sweden's defeat in 1721, and the Russian rule over Baltics continued for centuries, until the collapse of the Russian Empire. At that time, the Baltic states declared independence, and the new Soviet government kind of agreed, actually had to, with civil war going on and stuff like that. However, by 30s it was clear that the big war was on the way. The statement that the Baltic states were oh-so-democratic is just laughable, in reality in those short times of their independence they were practically dictatorships, in 30s they were controlled by far right, basically pro-n.zi governments. USSR in 1939 agreement demanded influence over Baltic states to protect the western borders in case of the war, and later these states joined USSR formally by their own decision (yeah, under pressure, but all formalities were carried out). So in fact these states existed as independent for barely two decades, and they never ever were democratic.

It is ridiculous to hear that the United States and the USSR were concerned about the dominance of Germany. Germany from 1945 to the present occupied by the United States! She has never solved anything without the United States. It is also ridiculous to hear that the USSR wanted NATO to remain in Europe. If the USSR was concerned about order in Europe, it would not have withdrawn its troops! Entrusting your geopolitical adversary from 1945 to keep order with your neighbors (on another continent) is absolute nonsense.

I disagree that the US didn't want dissolution of USSR. He can believe whatever he wants. Maybe his part of the gov didn't want it, but the rulers above them really wanted it. It was absolutely not the internal tensions within USSR that brought it to the end and the proof of that is crystal clear: There was a referendum in USSR where everybody voted against the dissolution. In fact the Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, were absolutely shocked when the dissolution was declared and their deputies in the parliament were stunned and didn't move for a while not knowing what to do next. Because these republics were seriously part of one country. Also about Baltic states: Yes, they got into USSR later, but they were conquered in ~1700 by Peter The Great after ~20y war with Sweden - the superpower at that time, and at the end of the war, Russia not only conquered but also paid ~2mln in gold. Which is a huge amount. So these republics were part of Russian Empire for nearly 300 years. Also, the US/EU did not want to integrate Russia into Europe. The proof is this: When they took back the Poland, they immediately forgave it's debt and started heavy investment into modernizing the industry ~80bln. None of that was done to Russia or to any other ex USSR state. The dissolution of USSR was done by 3 traitors: Yeltsin, Kuchma, Shushkevich - then leaders of Russia, Ukraine and Belorussia, they got together near the border of USSR and signed some "declaration" all in fear that they will be arrested for treason, and ready to escape USSR to the west if that happens. Then this document was given to Gorby who was pushed to sign it. Gorby sold our country for nothing to the West and pushed this useless "democracy" that doesn't exists even in the West into us. We had a democracy in USSR. We were electing members of parliament, and many other members of the government. We didn't have different parties, diff ideology, but ideology is not everything, and we don't have diff ideology in the west either. Do we have communist parties in the West? No, so we don't have different ideologies in the parties. The way I see it, as well as many others: It was all an evil plan of destruction of USSR economically and militarily, politically, destruction of standards of living, industries, similar to the one happened after a defeat in the war. Their goal was to steal the resources and just to enjoy other people's sufferings. How would you destroy a country non-militarily? You put a traitor in it and you make them pass laws that destroy industries and population and give away territory without a war. And that was exactly what happened. Do the west need any more arguments why Russia doesn't trust it, to say the least?

The problem here is the virtually non existent pushback by the general public, its almost as if there is a complete disconnect with reality, which of course has been fed by the often bias, bought and paid for main stream media. Now that this type of media has become far less popular and independent media is starting to take its place, more people are starting to wake up, but it's not enough yet. As far as I'm concerned the general public has to force the politicians to choose between them or their donors, while labeling the consequences for making the wrong choice. This can be the only way to rip apart the connection between corporate governance and independent governance controlled by the general public, there cannot be both, as these politicians would prefer, in a dying Capitalist system.

Mister Madlok speaks about the important part the USA had by supporting after WW2 the réconciliation between France and Germany. So why they didn't support the réconciliation between Russia and Poland, the Baltic States and so on after the end of the cold war.? On the contrary the USA tried to create more and more hatred of these countries towards Russia and encouraged even Ukraine in their war against Russia by bringing more and more weapons inside of Ukraine????. Only when the whole configuration is turning to a catastrophic out come for the USA that some people begin to reflect., much too late.
