The morning after I learned my best friend was no longer in this world, I looked out the window at the sky. Looking from side to side, I realized I couldn't ever find her in this world again . Now, at the point where I know the meaning and can memorize it and sing along I found out that this song sang the sorrow of losing precious people I fell in love with this song even more I would like to express my gratitude to the singer who sang such a great song already a long time ago

Clearly a country song, but it is so powerful that it cannot be contained by a genre. Sylvia Dee wrote the lyrics. She was deeply affected by the death of her father and I think that although on the surface the song is about a romantic break up, it communicates that deeper sorrow that comes with loosing a loved one through death. I once read the widow exclaimed in the middle of her grief, that the loss of her husband meant “the end of the world.”

It ended when I lost your love I wake-up in the morning, and I wonder Why everything's the same as it was I can't understand, no, I can't understand How life goes on the way it does Why does my heart go on beating? Why do these eyes of mine cry? Don't they know it's the end of the world? It ended when you said, "Good-bye" Mmm, mmm, mmm, mmm (Why do these eyes of mine cry?) Have fun in Florida 😢

@scottweisel3640 : I remember listening to this song as a young teen when it first came out. And I have been listening to it in my memory often all the years since. It's one of my favorites because of its lovely melody, innocence and sweetness and then there's that name - Skeeter. I did not know the story behind the song. Thank you so much for sharing that. Did you grow up about the same time or do you just have good taste as a younger man?
Aquela altura do tempo já uma senhora mas ainda cantando divinamente. 🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Sweet lady 💕
She is the original singer 'Skeeter Davis!

Have fun in Florida
Nádherná žena ❤️
She beautiful ❤
Nice arrangement & love the song too....
The End of the World Skeeter Davis Why does the sun go on shining? Why does the sea rush to shore? Don't they know it's the end of the world? 'Cause you don't love me any more Why do the birds go on singing? Why do the stars glow above? Don't they know it's the end of the world? It ended when I lost your love I wake-up in the morning, and I wonder Why everything's the same as it was I can't understand, no, I can't understand How life goes on the way it does Why does my heart go on beating? Why do these eyes of mine cry? Don't they know it's the end of the world? It ended when you said, "Good-bye" Mmm, mmm, mmm, mmm (Why do these eyes of mine cry?) Mmm, mmm, mmm Don't they know it's the end of the world? It ended when you said, "Good-bye"
Why pretend to love someone when they're only an after thought and never a priority? Bring it on, its already the end of the world for people in this position........
Fabulous

Russian soldiers with human hearts, please return to Russia. Stop fighting in Ukraine. Myanmar's army, don't crack down on the people by military force. Please stop all attacks. Do not use military force. No more. Are you not children of humans? The moment I heard this song, tears flowed and I bewailed. Thank you for uploading a wonderful song. All people who lost loving men in wars, please live.
Thanks to fallout 4 she'll never be forgotten
