Apart from the mistakes you have mentioned, there is a difference between the Polish pierogi (stress on letter o) which are basically fried dumplings and are very popular in US ( and wrongly stereotyped as Russian food) and Russian pirogi ( stress on the last i), which are just pies with savoury or sweet filling. And borsch is spelled and pronounced without a t at the end.

@@thumtlnguyen3626 you are right, it originated from Asia but also changed in the middle. Pelmeni are boiled, not steamed. Well, by western standards Russians are white people and you can't stereotype against white people. Because you see, in Europe and America white people have white priviledge, and we Russians look like them, so we're kinda bound to have it too. Even though it sounds kinda weird. But you see, if I (a Russian person) ever go to America, I will look like other American white people. And Americans might accidently treat me like a priviledged person (until they see my passport or hear my accent). Therefore I have priviledge. P. S. Woke terminology is sooooooo hard... and I still don't get it...

Well, Putin's English is far better than the shown in the video. Also, Vladislav (Vlad) and Vladimir (Vova) are two different names. Taking into account a couple of other mistakes made by the authors, this sketch is far from being perfect. Ok now, I need to feed my bear with borscht, pirogi and vodka, and play some balalaika afterwards.

How do you know Putin's English is good? There's no single interview of him or live discussion in English. Every time he speaks English on TV he's actually reading from teleprompter. I'm not questioning the greatness of your Leader of course.

This was absolutely hilarious and certainly enjoyable to watch. I would love to see more iRabbit skits! I would, however, like to highlight a few things: *1: Borscht is Ukrainian and pierogies are Polish,* *2: The accent of the guy playing the dictator bares little resemblance to an actual Russian accent,* *3: 'Privyet' is actually an INformal greeting- 'Zdravstvuyte' would've been more fitting at **0:43**,* *4: It would be grammatically correct to say that Vlad wishes to 'launch A nuclear missile on THE USA.*
Can you make some similar jokes about the oversee ones selling their weapons everywhere...?
I think in case of Russian guy he would prefer rather pielmieni instead of pierogi. Pierogi is our polish dish and russian guy could choke with it.
So, Vlad calls missiles "roses" now?
Vlad is not a short form of name Vladimir. Vlad is Vladislav

I can understand why Putin likes Bollywood and India. Cuz during the Cold war time India and Soviet Union were friends and allies ( especially against China ). And Bollywood movies were allowed to play in Soviet Unions. I am Indian i know this cuz a Russian friend told me

Russian borcsh is Russian, Ukrainian borcsh is Ukrainian, don't see the problem here. And stop trying to appropriate our common generic herritage, it was created long before Russian and Ukranian people became separate nations.
As a Russian, I am quite offended by the fact that amazing russian dumplings (pelmeni) were replaced by not as good polish dumplings (pirogi). Being living in London for 7 years and tried many polish pirogi I never was able to find the ones I liked. There are many other mistakes in the Vova's Russian accent.

Russian dumpling Pelmeni was actually brought to eastern Europe by Mongols and Mongol dumpling was from China. European cuisine rarely or never use steams to cook food as it's in China.
@annailina4982
3 күн бұрын
@@thumtlnguyen3626 you are right, it originated from Asia but also changed in the middle. Pelmeni are boiled, not steamed. They also usually don't have other ingredients in the filling except meat, onion, garlic, and black pepper. So nowadays they taste quite different from their ancestors from China and Mongolia.

:How to identify a biased video: 1. When a grammar-Nazi protagonist delivers only pierogis/borscht specifically to Russian customers even though the "lunch order" was interpreted as missal(with or without pav) or miso, yet he can still be very much concerned about stereotyping. 2.
