    So, so beautiful Jes. You should be proud of yourself for creating this truly lovely garden and to think you created so much of it from splitting and dividing over and over and 50 percent off bargains. You would need to take a week off work to get all your splitting and dividing this year. Thank you for sharing your beautiful garden with us.❤

    Hey Jes. Love your "movies". You are a wealth of knowledge and I love that you shop in your own garden to keep your garden growing! **Question for you: I have seen you split your annabelle hydrangeas but wondering if you can do the same with panicle hydrangeas? Keep doing what you do. You are so sweet and humble and always look forward to watching you, one of my favorite youtubers!❤ Oh and by the way, hardy hibiscus love boggy areas. Was thinking of your new sun area where you have the water issue. You might plant some of those. I have one planted where it is constantly wet and it does fantastic.

Hostas at $20.00! Even some echinacea (not the common Magnus) $20.00 Plant! so, I definitely am going to divide my hostas and other garden plants plus winter sow seeds for next year….plants are crazy expensive now.

    Your roses may have aphid damage. My rose bush was attacked and looked. I use the dawn water solution and that got rid of them this works on the japanese beetles too. I, also, just spray with water. I read if you plant some fragrant herbs near and of course the trusty nurse or warden Marigold helps deter. I never got to that point. 💖💖🎶🎶

    All your flower beds look so healthy regardless of sun or shade. Do you amend the soil before you do any planting? I believe you said you generally don't fertilize individual plants when you set them in the ground or throughout the growing season. Every bed is just beautiful and undoubtedly attempts to duplicate are occurring all across the country.

  • @jesthesinginggardener

    @jesthesinginggardener

    Жыл бұрын

    I don’t amend it. The first time a plant hits my soil I fertilize it. Then I don’t bother after that. If it survives then great. I don’t have time to fuss with them. That’s how I do it. LOL BUT I have really good soil so I’ve been blessed to not have to fertilize much. Thank you so much for watching and for the encouragement 💗

    Amanda, hi 😊 I am in the outer banks of North Carolina, oh my goodness, the Japanese beetles came overnight! Horrible on my river birch trees! We sprayed, much better! Good luck! 🌳

    Amanda, my husband said it was a lawn spray from our local feed and seed. It had Japanese beetles listed on the label. Hate using that stuff but they were really doing damage!

    @kimberly-557 I get it. I use Sevin. This year I am holding off. I have seen a bunch of different kinds of insects. I am hoping they are going to do the trick. They have not been nearly as aggressive as other years. I treat the lawn. This year I found milky spore in granular form at one of our nursery. So we are going to get that for the lawn. I have used the powder form for my beds. I am going to try the granular this year everywhere.
