End of August Garden Tour, Cut Flowers, Tom Yum Noodles!
In this video, I will show you what I do in my garden in the last week of August, my mason jar garden bouquets, and cooking Tim Yum noodles soup.
Hi! My name is Crane. Welcome to my Suburban home garden in New Jersey Zone 7A. I mainly grow cut flowers, greens, and herbs and make garden bouquets to sell at my roadside stand. I create sanctuary for wildlife, birds, insects, etc. I grow all kinds of vegetables and, sometimes, cook. I grow ornamental landscape plants and trees as well. Great video. Your bouquets are gorgeous. Really love that purple oregano. You guys are lucky to get such great woodchips from the city. Our county gives them away, but, they are so chunky. Loved your meal at the end. It looked delicious!

Great idea to use canning lids for plant markers! I have so many used ones that I can repurpose. I just found your channel through Danielle’s video and I’m loving it so much. I’ve already watched 10 today. Thank you for sharing real life and gardening. You’re a breath of fresh air!

You need to lay lots of twiggy sticks from the hedgerow across your seed beds to stop the cats using the beds for toilet. They will always go for freshly dug ground. Also, you could keep a patch dug over separate from the garden for the cats to go there

What book are you reading ? Thank you for your last advise.... absolutely love it ( enjoy your garden ). You are right many people stress about weeds which is non stop and on going battle. Yes... please enjoy your garden. I did giving up on weeds in Florida esp it is raining every day ( hurricanes seasons) and super hot. Perfect for weeds to grow super duper fast. Nightmare !!

I love your garden and property. Do you ever use preen to control weeds ? I’ve just purchased some that was on clearance but I have never used it before. Also, do you think your garden would be as successful if you didn’t have irrigation?

I stop using Preen after I learn to grow with the nature. Some weeds in my gardens are native and support wildlife so I let them grow and pull the invasive species by hand, except the very difficult ones that I have to use pesticide very carefully.
WILL YOU DIG UP THE CROTON ? HAVE SEEN THOSE AT LOWES, BUT NOT SURE IF YOU CAN KEEP THEM OVER WINTER IN NEW ENGLAND

I will have to dig them up. But they are pretty hardier than I do tropical plants. I probably don’t have to dig them up until December here in New Jersey. 😊🥰❤️
