thanks for the shoutout TOOOOOMMMM BOOOOXXXX
The tenpai one is honestly fantastic, and peak meme material.
Konami needs to makes more decks like marincess or madolche, one card combos that lock you early into something. Both decks have soft negation meaning they don’t destroy the card. Its super healthy interaction

Archetype or type lock is kind of fine, though the latter less so than the former (because dragon link lol). As long as the lock isn’t something like Exosisters.
@Jaganphotos

@@jumpiestaman100 imo Xeno-locking (like with exosisters) is perfectly fine except when every other deck doesn’t do it. Same for type, attribute and ED locking - it’s why I hated Tearlaments as a Despia player lol

@@Jaganphotos Yeah but Xeno locking would be fine, if they made all decks able to play through some amount of interaction. Exosister Martha lock is the worst kind in the game. And they already die to 1 handtrap in general. If konami just made the Xeno-locks while also making them a bit durable, that’d make the game at least slightly better
Honorable mention to Light and Darkness Dragon Lord in Branded, they just set Banishment to perform the full combo with it as a bonus while Lost protects them from the mandatory effect. You can chain link 3 for your Puppet if needed. I love the interactions it creates because if it survives it will chainblock your every move, but if it's run over you can revive Albaz in damage step to get a fusion that's very hard to counter
TomBox: The Extra Deck is super tight Me: Hahaha no it isn't. It fits perfectly.
I like that every endboard is tons of cards that make them basically impossible to break through most the time, with numerous cards on the field and in the GY. And then there’s Tenpai with just Seals pass.
Imagine if the fiendsmith was locked behind a qcr 😂
I'd like to see how to make that chimera end board
I LOVE this video. Showcasing how crazy the endboards can be due to fiendsmith is going to be very helpful to a lot of players. At the same time, shows that gy interaction is going to become super important next format in order to disrupt the fiendsmith plays.
6th card “Maxx “C”” syndrome hit a little too hard

Never happening. Its only good opening turn 1 while u go second. And for it to be viable you have to dedicate extra deck spots to it. The extra decks are way way too tight for nearly all decks

God I hope so. That card needed to die yesterday. Though knowing Konami, it won't happen since they want extra fiendsmith bucks, as if the engine wasn't gonna sell like hotcakes even with a Beatrice ban.
Is it worth playing shifter in a deck that wants the GY if your opponent suffers from shifter more?

Tenpai:
(Sorry this isnt relevent to the video was hoping someone here might have some clarity for me) I have a ruling that has recently become prevalent it feels everyone (myself included) is arguing on how it should be ruled. The card in question is Revealer Of The Ice Barrier which has the following text: While you control another "Ice Barrier" monster, your opponent cannot Tribute Summon. You can only use each of the following effects of "Revealer of the Ice Barrier" once per turn. You can discard 1 card; Special Summon 1 "Ice Barrier" Tuner from your Deck, also you cannot Special Summon monsters for the rest of this turn, except WATER monsters. If you would discard, or send a card(s) from your hand to the GY, to activate an "Ice Barrier" monster's effect, you can banish this card from your GY instead of 1 of those cards. The situation is Player A has a Revealer of the Ice Barrier on the field with another copy in the grave and NO cards in hand. They attempt to activate the effect. And they banish the Revealer in the grave to pay the cost. My question is, is this a legal activation because they do not have a card to discard at the point they attempt to activate the card and pay the cost despite not paying it regardless. The examples people have given by the community is Guiding Ariadne, which I personally and many others disagree with because it is a continuously applied effect on the field and also not a replacement effect, it just dismisses the need to pay. The only cards I can find that should be references I also cannot find any official rulings on it which is Ursarctic Departure and Ursarctic Drytron which both have the following text on them: If you would Tribute a monster(s) to activate an "Ursarctic" or "Drytron" monster's effect, you can banish this card from your GY instead. You can only use this effect of "Ursarctic Drytron" once per turn. The ruling in question here would be for multiple of the main deck monsters that all share this line of text: During the Main Phase (Quick Effect): You can Tribute 1 other Level 7 or higher monster from your hand; Special Summon this card from your hand, also you cannot Special Summon for the rest of this turn, except monsters with a Level. So I guess the question that people don't know the answer to is: Can you activate a card with a cost, when unable to pay the cost if you have a replacement effect that is not a continuously applied effect such as Lair Of Darkness.
I’ve been saying exosister is about to become more relevant than ever. No deck can shut down the GY better than those nuns. Two turns of shifter and then they can just turn it off completely is crazy

And this right here is what got magic in trouble by giving "pro-players" insider knowledge prior to major events, So if tom does well at NACQ its arguable that's only because he had a month or more of being able to test or even financially gain off the insider information,

He doesn't play in competitive events. It is still sketchy with his friends but commentators need to have time to become knowledgeable about the upcoming cards and combos if we want good coverage. Tom is usually one of the only commentators that actually knows what is happening gameplay wise.

@MSTTV entirely possible that the tcg name will be different, but Dies Irae is an old Latin phrase with a well established pronunciation. Mozart's and Verdi's requiems got it right. But that's all from me, thanks for indulging my one daily nerdge moment :)
