They haven't invented something "new" in that sense they have just used old existing techniques to make a special wavelength filter that fits color blind ppl in a clever way.

@@expatbiker6598 most color blind people see many colors, just not nearly as many shades. Some bright pinks look like dirty snow to me and some shades of green look gray, shades of purple look blue so we have to ask what color things are. Color blind is a bit of a misnomer.

I cannot imagine what it would be like to be color blind. Seeing the reactions of these people makes me realize my being able to see color is a divine gift I have taken for granted my whole life. Everyone who is color blind should be given a pair of these glasses.

My response when watching you all is ... tears in my eyes .. I am now in the early 50s, I found my son was color blind when he was 7 years old ... now he is 26 years old... Likewise, I still can't afford to buy him a pair of color blind glasses until now, when I had an accident in 2011 and finally lost my job in 2013 ... I am happy for all of you .... may God bless you all ..... take care of your health ...

I cried a lot! A problem I didn't even know could exist!! Praised be the name of the Lord who gave the intelligence to a "man" to make it possible for people with this disability to have the opportunity to see what people have always seen, without giving all that "magnitude" to all the colors that fill our lives with happiness! I pray to God that those people who are having this wonderful opportunity, can unite and also give these glasses to those who cannot afford to buy them! God bless the creator of the glasses and those who were able to color the lives of all these!! I'm very happy!! 😁🤗♥️💜💚💛

It is said that God is Love, that the Universe is immersed in this infinite emanation of this Universal Love, that everything that exists in the universe is the result of the most intense expression of this Infinite Love, therefore, every day we see this gift from Him to us, and we forget to thank you for how wonderful your kindness is to us.

  • @athena608

People with red-green colorblindness usually can tell the colors apart, but they just don't see the whole color. It's like seeing an old-timey sepia-tinted version of it, where the bright colors have faded to browns, yellows, and blues - and when you "learn your colors", you're basically learning that the weird shade of brown you see is called red, and the beige-blue tinges are called green. So when they see the actual color with the glasses, they recognize it but can finally see how stark the difference actually is between the colors.

I am 66 and was told I was partially color blind when I joined the Marines and again later when I took a physical for a job. I was told I can't see certain shades of browns and greens. I live on a fixed income and I don't know if it would be worth that much of an investment to find out if they would work for me. Is there a place where you could go to try on a pair ?

EmPret, That is a great question. I guess the best way to explain it is to give you an example. For years we would visit flower gardens and I would point to a purple flower ask him what color it was, he always said blue. He knew that purple looked the same as blue to him, so when he saw purple for the first time with the glasses he knew it looked blue without the glasses but it was a new color with the glasses, and correctly assumed it was purple.
